The Bridgton Community Center...

..is located in the old armory building on Depot Street in Bridgton.

When the Army left Bridgton, if offered to turn this property over to the town, providing that the town would make use of it for the benefit of the general public. So the old armory was reopened as The Bridgton Community Center in 2001.

The idea was to provide an inviting place for local clubs and groups to meet, for classes to be held, and for people of all ages to feel that they had some place where they could go to make friends.

The building now has meeting rooms, a kitchen, a piano, a speaker system, projection equipment, and much more.

Since that small beginning, the Center has grown steadily.
