Lina is 15 in The Slayers and she states that she has been traveling with gourry for a year and a half, at the end of The Slayers Next which would make her around 16-17. If you want to imply that over a year has taken place before Slayers Try you can estimate her age at 17-18.

Lina Inverse so powerfull a sorceress, but she has one fear...slugs! As a young girl Lina was just a traveling magican in training learning all she could. Untill she decided to punish a bandit gang and accidentally stole the statue with the rock that began the whole thing. If she had not taken the statue none of it would have ever happened. She also has a great fear of her sister which we never see or hear anything about except in the opening credits for the second season and in the third when the excuse is given that she has to go on the journey or her sister will kill her. We also know her sister is waitress but why even tell us this is we do not get to meet her? I think half the secrets of this anime lay somewhere in the ADV films versions. This is a company that somehow bought the rights to use lina with another sorceress in some bad anime and there are jokes that play out in The Slayers series from it which is confusing because the two releases do not go together.
