Her town was destroyed and her father was killed when they fought copy Rezzo. Sylphiel is know for her healing. She also now knows The Dragon Slave. Sylphiel is also very protective of Gourry, he once helped her out long ago and she never forgot it. She helps to try to kill Hellmaster by casting a dragonslave with lina, but it fails. At the end of the second series she says "Im coming along this time" But she is not in the final series at all, why we do not know.
