Finally, at long last I've arrived at a final decision.
Many have asked, here follows my responce in FULL:

Now, I've recieved many e-mails about the re-opening of my site, and
admitedly, I haven't answered many of them. The reason being that I figured
in the back of my mind that I would answer them all with an update to this
page. Yes, I have taken my sweet time about it. The truth is, I had reached
a stalemate as far as where to go with my albeit short series. I'll be the
first to admit I wasn't the biggest fan of the original show to begin with.
I felt the creative team dropped the ball long before the Goliath Chronicles
ever aired. I mean, Avalon World Tour...c'mon people.

But back to my purpose at hand. Even though the creative force was ground
down to nothing, and the myth interpretations got stupider with each pass-
ing episode, something kept me watching. Later I had realized that it was the
Myths themselves which made me tune in. God help me, I love crossovers.

As a fledgeling artist, I decided to make a comic book of Gargoyles based
on this very premise: That every issue would be a crossover. If Greg Weisman
can sit back and be lazy, so too can I. And that's how it was. I tried to intro-
duce new characters, storylines, plot points, (most were ripped off from what-
ever I was interested in at the time) but most notably I made plenty of cross-
overs. April O'Neal, Two-Face, The Daily Bugle and others all had guest spots
in my comics. But there was always a problem. Always a brick wall that I
banged my head against. One that would make me stop drawing and writing for
months and even years on end. That problem was the original series itself. I
was stuck with it. I loved the premise, but not the show. At least not in the way
that would make it fun for me to tinker with it. It's flawed, fatally flawed. Not
many people see it but it's true. It almost killed my project (to the glee / dismay
of the respective parties who may or may not give a damn). None the less it lead
to a unique creative problem, for me anyway: The series was dead. All possible
storylines messed up beyond belief. To put it another way, the realism was sucked
right out of Gargoyles. Xanatos' child was a quarter magical being. Fox was half
magical being. Owen was Puck. Am I the only one who sees a problem with this?
But I digress. The fact was, for me at least, the series became stupid. It's sad
when the Goliath Chronicles had some truly better episodes than season two. I'll
take Xanatos' child being kidnapped over him being a future fairy king any day.
Add to this the fan-fiction already in existance which covers almost every possible
outcome of the current plots, and I had some big problems.

Storylines weren't the only problem I ran into however. Artistically, I was also
stuck, but in a different way. Originally, these comics were a form of art therapy
for me. A constant project that would force me to draw on a regular basis. It
worked, really. Check the first page of my first issue with one of my newer images
and see. But the problem was with the series' artistic style. Just to start off, I love
it. It's unique. Not quite Disney, nor like the Batman / Superman cartoons. And it
sure as hell wasn't "Anime", or the "Cancer of Cartoons" as I've dubbed it. My
problem with the Gargoyles style is, that as my style evolved, I had to stick with
the original. I tried to deviate at times, but usually got called on it by someone.
So I found myself creating new characters, but having to re-create them in the
Gargoyles style. It just got frustrating sometimes.

Eventually, all of these problems led to one thing:
Gargoyles, as I knew it, was a Dead-end.

So I went to the classics. Those creations who've long outdone all possible creative
outlets and stories. Marvel Comics for example. Spider-Man, X-men, Avengers, Dare-
devil, Fantastic Four. All have one thing in common: They are overdone. But did Marvel
give up? Hell no. The writers lingered a while in sub-par crapfest stories until they came up
with a stroke of brilliance. They re-created them from scratch. They're known as the
"Ultimate" series. Ultimate Spider-Man, Ultimate X-men etc. They're great. Greater than
great. New styles, new stories, reworked ideas on classic premises. That's what I was
missing all along. And so it is, that Gargoyles Legacy has been changed to Ultimate
Gargoyles. Finally, the artistic and creative freedom to re-create the premise I love, from
scratch, without the pitfalls of the original series. I'm creating my vision of Gargoyles.
Faithful yet different, familiar yet new.
