Darcie ownes and operates Stardance Studio, Yet her interests include much more than making a buck. She has contributed greatly to the St. Louis swing community by offering her studio for various events, bringing national, and international dancing artists to the St. Louis area. Darcie held the Swing camp St. Louis in April of 2000, and will be holding another in 2002. I know I'm looking forward to it.
Lorel was one of the first swing dance instructors in the St. Louis area. Offering her lessons with Vargas Swing at various venues, she is responsable for exposing many of the "Old Coowd" for the first time to swing dancing. In addition, she had a dance troup with further exposed the public to swing dancing. Currently she resides in Kansas City.
Donna was instermental in supporting the Focal Point, and currently can be found there often on Thursdays enjoying the music and dancing. She is also an avid Cajun dancer and operates her own web site called St. Louis Nightlife aka Donna's Page.
Stephen opened and operated the first swing dancing website not affiliated with the imperial clubs, but embracing the general swing dancing phenomina, this site proved very popular and was the sole sourse for infomation as to events and lessons for quite some time. He also offered lessons with various bands and at various venues, sharing his skills and bringing swing dancing to the general populace
Dan has offered numerous lessons both in Illinosis and Missouri often taking time away from his own fun times to share his enjoyment of swing dancing to show others. He also provides music for the Casa Loma Ballroom.
Clay has offered numerous workshops on swing dancing in the St. Louis area, and offers lessons on a regular basis. He also provides music for the Casa Loma Ballroom.
Danni has given lessons throughout the St. Louis area for numerous bands and venues. She often was the person behind the scene making things happen.
Pat and Ren have been on the dance scene for quite some time. They are the ones instermental in bringing Frankie Manning to town for his memorable workshop offering.
Terri has helped with numerous lessons through out the St. Louis area, sharing the gift of swing dancing. Though overshadowed at times by her partners, her contribution to swing dancing has been great and often not given proper credit
Mac
Pat is the owner and operator of the famed Casa Loma Ballroom. He has kept this venue operational thru both good times and bad, personally I believe it is because of his love for dancing, yhough he often sacrifices this love so that we may all enjoy the fruits of his labor. He has supported numerous effors from other individuals to support swing dancing in the St. Louis area, and we all owe him a debt of gratitude.
Mac, what can I say about Mac. Mac opened the SpiffNet website quite some time ago, and would be seen out often snapping photos to be posted. One of the most frequent questions asked in the past is "Have you seen the pictures at Spiffnet yet ?" Everyone enjoyed having this service provided, and photos of past events are still avalible on his site at SpiffNett.
