Noah's Ark Uncovered

    The following photographs of an ark shaped object resting on Mt. Ararat are presented to you for your consideration. These were obtained from ark explorer John McIntosh who took some of these photos while on the mountain. He may be reached at 909-338-2468. Based upon earlier visitor's observations of what they said they saw of the Ark and its surroundings, my hope is that these released photos, along with my analysis, will encourage exploration of this site and will also encourage the Turkish authorities to allow full exploration of this specified area. I also wish that this photographic release will properly entice funding for an all out effort to achieve all exploration goals. I originally noticed the ark-shaped object while reading through Violet Cummings 1982 book "Has Anybody Really Seen Noah's Ark". The picture is located on page 30. The black and white copy as seen in the book seems to reveal an ark-shaped object not only with an indented roofline but also with evenly spaced aperture holes in that roofline. This is what first peaked my curiousity. This was in August of 1993. Since then, I have gained the interest of some major explorers and ark-exploration groups in what I, and now you, can observe. I am more than willing to be told that this object has been explored and eliminated as the site of the ark. No one has proved this is so. Now I am broadening the results of my observations to a broader audience so that you may do what is needful to further this sites investigation.

Here are some of the ways these photos fit into the observations of earlier explorers:

    1. It is located on the northeastern face of the mountain at the proper elevation, resting in a declining saddle shaped valley.

    2. In the summer months, the ark shaped object is sticking out of a finger of a glacier, while part of it remains buried in the glacier. Otherwise during the year the Ark-shaped object appears either lightly snow covered, or buried within the Araxes ice cave.

    3. It seems to be slightly tilted and resting against a slope or mound. In the picture section are the drawing and photo set side by side for your inspection.

    4. The section sticking out from the glacier is resting on a shallow mountainside pool of water or ice with an ice-flow inlet in front of and above the ark-shaped object and with a flow-out over the edge of a cliff drop off.

    5. Regarding the ark-shaped object itself, it apparently has an indented top with evely spaced aperture holes showing.

    6. The object appears to be fractured in at least two places-- one just behind the front of the object the other midway back;

    7. There seem to be two shadows of interest in the Cummings black and white: (a) Cast over the mountainside pond is a rectangular shaped shadow which is what one would expect an ark-shaped object to cast; (b) To the right of the front of the ark-shaped object seems to be a 3 tiered shadow of the object's fractured infrstructure;

    8. Under increased magnification, the front, or face of the object seems to show:(a) a crumpled or rotting face; (b) there appear to be two, possibly three, beam shaped objects pointing outward or upward at varying angles from the crumpled face of the object.

    9. Please notice what could be a decayed door-shaped opening located slightly behind the rotting front of the ark-shaped object. Leading up to this 'door' is a possible earthen ramp and going down from the ledge above and to the front of the ark-shaped object to the earthen ramp appears to be the remains of the 1917 Russian exploration steps which they carved into the rock so they could gain access to the ark.

    10. In the Morris 64 photo, which John sent to me, the location of the then snow covered ark has been properly triangulated and noted. As can be seen on the color copy, the mountain is fairly smoothly snowed over except for the area immediately surrounding and above the possible ark containing crevice. Under magnification, I notice what appears to be either sled or ski marks which seem to proceed from the left of the ark crevice, past what appears to be a textured snow ramp, and ending at the area where I have indicated could be the altar-shaped objects resting place. The snow ramp goes from the sled(?) track to the roof of the ark-shaped object and has a travelled upon texture. As in the Hagopian testimony, I wonder if this is another indication that the 'locales' as of the time of the Morris photograph, were still traversing this region for a 'look'.

 Other objects which may merit investigation are:

    (1) A possible confirmation of the Ark's site could be the location of an altar of sacrifice type object located to the right and above the ark shaped object on an adjacent hilltop. As described by the 1917 Russian exploration team, it appears to be a square platform with some cast down stones surrounding it. What appears to be a cross on the surface of the square platform could be the burn marks which the Russians observed. This may be the remains of the sacrificial altar which Noah built following the flood.

    (2) Below the ark shaped object and to its right appears to be a square shaped foundation hole. It is on top of a hill just to the right of where the waterfall begins its descent. Could this be the remains of a man-made building or temple constructed that close to the ark site. If I recall correctly, a Roman emperor once claimed that he had accomplished some such feat as this when he visited the ark. To the left of the square shaped hole appears to be a fallen human shaped statue.

    (3) To the right and above the altar of sacrifice there appears to be a domed shaped object seated on a rectangular slab of stone. This object bears an uncanny resemblance to the monastery/observatory that existed at the base of the mountain as noted on page 301 of the Cumming's book. In the picture section are the drawing and photo set side by side for your inspection.

    (4)On the McIntosh photo labelled 78-63, an enlargement of the ark-shaped object’s location, is seen what appears to be a retaining wall in front of the ark-shaped object. On this wall are several incised letters the most discernible of which is the letter 'N'.

    (5) There's a possible man-made glossy domed object above and to the right of the Monestary object (possibly the location of Robin Simmons' first or second object?).

    (6) There are several possible crosses in front of the face of the Ark shaped object according to the 1998 Palego photo, one of which is reflected on the pool of water which is in front of that face.

    (7) On the rock wall before the Ark-shaped object is a possible engraved Dove (An Armenian cultural symbol per Michael Holt).

     Well, these are what I have observed and noted on the photo analysis about what appears to be the ark, its location, and its surroundings. Let's investigate.
