"Listen: there was once a king sitting on his throne. Around Him stood great and wonderfully beautiful columns ornamented with ivory, bearing the banners of the king with great honor. Then it pleased the king to raise a small feather from the ground, and he commanded it to fly. The feather flew, not because of anything in itself but because the air bore it along. Thus am I, a feather on the breath of God."

                                                                              --Saint Hildegard von Bingen

Few things in life get harder with more experiance, and one of them is writing a personal website. Frequently the most skilled webmasters (I am not among them) have some of the worst personal sites. Why? Probably because they have found so many more interesting things to talk about than themselves.

I do not want to subject people to endlessly boring, self important diatribes about the meaning of life. I will try to explain my feelings on things important to me, without pretending that they should be important to you.

Now you might ask, who am I.

My name is Katherine Keirns, and I'm a twenty-something woman whose interests include history, politics, religion--am I sounding dull yet? What will soon be clear as you make your way thought my site, I am an Episcopalian, a Homosexual, a Military Buff, a Liberal, and a role player...

I hope you enjoy a trip though my world.
