Deverry
Deverry is the home of humans.  Many years ago there was something threatening the lives of Cadwallion the Druid's people.  He asked his friend Evander, a being who lives in the astral plane and has great power, to help him.  Evander takes these people to a new land, which they call Deverry.  Deverry is something of a cross between Celtic and Medieval society.  There is a High King, under him gwenbrets, and under them lords.  Most Lords have a Dun (a fortress) that is surrounded by a town, which pays their Lord tax in return for safety and his justice, for the gwenbrets hold courts like judges.  The Lord keeps a warband of men who have sworn to die for him, and each summer the Lord must take his men to whatever overlord he is loyal who needs men for war.

Westlands
The westlands are the home of the elves (or Elcyion Lacar).  When the humans came, they drove the Horsekin down the coast, where they attacked and destroyed the elven cities.  Those that survived, mostly farmers and such, escaped to the westlands.  Here they live in tents and herd horses, moving around constantly and never settling.  These are a peaceful people.  Although they have very skilled warriors, they do not fight amongst themselves.  They have only participated in wars with Deverry men, when there way of life was threatened.

Dwarvenholt
The Dwarven holt is the home of the dwarves.  They live in a beautiful underground city north of Deverry.   Dwarves are skilled craftsmen who, such as Otto, can be found throughout Deverry selling their skills.  Dwarves dislike elves, believing them to be all dishonest thieves.  This has something to do with how the elves treated them when the Horsekin attacked.

Bardek
Bardek is a series of islands.  The people here are darker skinned than those in deverry (as the climate is a lot hotter) and they live in square white-washed buildings.  The island seem to be more civilized (they think of Deverry as a land of barbarians) even though they still use slaves.

Rhiddaer
In the early days of Deverry settlement bondsmen were used, which were pretty much slaves that came with the land.  Those bondsmen that escaped fled through the grasslands, where they were helped by the westfolk, and settled in cities to the far west.  There government now consists of a council, all people are considered equal and vote on important matters.

Horsekin and Gel da'Thae
The Horsekin and Gel da'Thae are the same people just with different religious beliefs.  The Gel da'Thae are sorry for the destruction of the elven cities, believing that they destroyed the children of the gods and now live praying for forgiveness.

The Horsekin, on the other hand, are savages.  When the cities where destroyed they started a plague, as it is customary for them to eat their dead.
