Scenes from the summer of 1999

Surf N' Sun Run, State Parks Run, Taco Thursdays and some visitors from east of the Missus Hip visit the lovely Pacific Northwest!.

"The Pacific Northwest boasts some of the most splendid natural beauty in the world. Along with that comes some of the largest motorcycle rallies on the west coast. Here are some pics from the summer of 1999.

SKCC State Parks Run
Around the Olympic Peninsula
July 11th-12th 1999

South King County ABATE's (my chapter) annual State Parks run is 13 hour ride around the Olympic Peninsula (unless you cheated and took the Ferry)!
It was probably the most beatiful ride of the year. Starting at Saltwater State Park in Des Moines,The ride went thru Sequim, up Hurricane Ridge (you can see clear to Vancouver Island), Then down Hwy 101 past Neah Bay and the Hoh Rain forest (lotsa bugs), a late lunch at the Kalaloch Lodge on the Kalaloch Indian reservation and eventually on to Ocean Shores.
