The oficial Marvel Comics site! This would be your best bet for finding background info on any of the marvel characters for writing on this site. It actually does have a lot of very good information, and it's put together damn well too. And they seem to have a good links section to other sites you might need info from.

Myths and Legends. For those of you who would like to research some legends for new characters or even check out some of the original Norse Mythology ... These guys have a lot, thought the site was made by a college student, i believe, so I'm not really sure how long it will be up. Check it out while it's still there!

An Urban Legends archive, for those of you with a slightly different taste ;)

Obi-Wan's UFO-Free Paranormal page. This one is really interesing. It's an archive of stories that this guy has been sent -- all supposedly true. Some are VERY interesting ... maybe some could be adapted for a new Ghost Rider series? :)

Marc Fleury put together this site to help aspiring comic writers with the proper formats and such

Comicraft! The site of those guys who do just about all of Marvel's lettering in their comics nowadays ...

A site that has a TON of information for anyone interested in breaking into comics. Definately worth a look-see.

This one has comic news info, as well as a column buy Warren Ellis! (Also, they have the X-Men trailer) Cool, huh?

Teachings of the Askani! This is a fan-made site about the X-Man Cable, showing his rather large, convoluted history. A good resource for anyone who wants to write for the bodysliding X-Man

This is an all-Avengers site, it has news, merchandise, covers and fiction.

This is actually a showcase of the daily Spider-Man newspaper strip by Stan Lee himself.

COMIC CREATOR (Artists and Writers) SITES

Painter extraordinare Alex Ross's official site, run by his friends.

The site of Steampunk -- and former X-Men and Generation X -- artist, Chris Bachalo.

Danger Girl artist, J. Scott Campbell's official site.

I know I know, he works almost exclusively for DC, but I still like most anything he writes.

Warren Ellis' official site, featuring some cool bits, such as "How Not to Write a Treatment."

The official site of the new X-Men and former Wolverine artist, Leinil Yu.

A site that covers all three Kuberts, Joe, Adam and Andy -- while also being the official website of the Joe Kubert School of Cartooning.

This girl is a VERY VERY good artist, who's style is kinda like a Disney animation style. She does do commison work too, wink wink, nudge nudge, say no more say no more ...

COMIC ORDERING/ONLINE SITES

Diamond Comics: now you can order directly from the distruter that services EVERY comic shop in the U.S.

These guys have lots of exclusives and variant issues and such -- also lots of toys
:-D

Mile High Comics is a huge comic store chain over in California and Colorado with a HUGE selection of back issues.

One of the largest internet comic retailers around, they sell just about everything you would ever want or need: Comics, trades, action figures, statues, videos, clothes, card games, board games, RPG's, you name it, they probably got it.

"INTERESTING" SITES

Beef-Cake.com, the "official" South Park site, these guys got EVERYTHING ... c'mon, everyone loves South Park!

This one's pretty cool. It lists all the stupid laws that each state of the union has ... most are still in effect! Check it out!

The Home page of Kevin Smith's production company. Has lots of very cool info about Clerks, Dogma, Mallrats, Chasing Amy and more.

Just as bad as it sounds, hehehe

This is the guy that made that Thumb Wars thing that was on TV a few months back. He's got a few new parodies on his site.

Wizard, the comics magazine with a sarcastic streak. Actually a  pretty cool site, with all the columns from the mag, as well as some extras, like guides to writing and drawing at the Wizard School and previews of upcoming issues. Cool stuff :-)
