BAKER COUNTY

Baker County Health Department continues to utilize volunteers within their facility working as clerical assistants. Volunteer physicians, advanced registered nurse practitioners, and registered nurses provide sport physicals to the youth in Baker County. More volunteers are needed to assist the staff at the health department because of the growing population in Baker County.

Some of the ways volunteers can help are:

WIC (Women, Infant, and Children) Breastfeeding Peer Counselors

Read to children in waiting rooms

Licensed Health Care Professionals, i.e., Physicians, Registered Nurses

Special Events

Clerical Assistants

Outreach Programs such as Prevention of Tobacco Use by Youth

Volunteer physician specialists are greatly needed in this county. Many efforts have been attempted to attract specialists.
