Children’s Medical Services – Utilizes volunteers for the pediatric HIV/AIDS Buddy program. Other volunteers are welcomed for various services at CMS. Contact: Miriam Torres (850) 484-5040 X 222, Suncom 690-5040 X 222

Specialty medical care for qualified indigent adults within physicians’ own offices is provided free through the Escambia We Care program sponsored by the Escambia County Medical Society Foundation. Always needing more volunteer physicians. Contact: Rosie Creel (850) 595-6778, Suncom 695-6778

Limited free dental care for pain relief for qualified indigent adults is provided by Project Dentists Care sponsored by the EscaRosa Dental Society.

Non-medical personnel:

The Health Department utilizes community volunteers for clerical services, nutrition assessment, group nutrition education, and peer counseling for breastfeeding mothers in the WIC department. Escambia AIDS Services and Education (EASE) – Community volunteers assist at the HIV test site for counseling and support services. Phlebotomists are used for HIV testing. Volunteers welcomed. Contact: Sharon Geri (850) 456-7079
