According to the Florida
Department of Business and Professional Regulation, in
1988, Hardy County had 10 medical doctors, 1 osteopathic
physician, 2 dentists, and 84 registered nurses actively
licensed.

Volunteer Efforts:
The Hardee County Health
Department staff has participated in prevention
activities throughout the community that included giving
flu-shot vaccinations and providing free blood pressure
