HERNANDO COUNTY
The Hernando Doctors’
Clinic, Inc. (HDC), located in
Brooksville, has 138 health care volunteers providing
limited primary and specialty care to the uninsured
residents of the county. HDC sponsors a primary care
clinic at the Hernando County Health Department on
Wednesday evening of each week and accepts patients by
appointments only. The clinic coordinator estimates the
clinic provided $1.2 million in health care services to
850 residents of the county in fiscal year 1999. The
clinic is staffed by volunteer physicians, nurses, and
support personnel, and there is always a need for new
volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering your
services in any capacity, please contact, the Clinic

The Hernando County Health
Department is looking for a few good men and women to
volunteer to support day-to-day operations in the
Brooksville and Spring Hill facilities. Volunteers are
needed in all areas and if you are interested in donating
your valuable time, please contact the Volunteer
