The Putnam County Health Department (PCHD) is located in Palatka. Two full time general medicine physicians staff the facility. Services offered are:

• Supplemental nutrition coupons for pregnant women and young children through Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)
  
• In addition, the DCHD provides anonymous or confidential Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV)/ Acquired Human Immune Syndrome (AIDS) testing and counseling.
  

The Putnam County Health Department is seeking medical professional volunteers and office support volunteers who are interested in assisting in the provision of health related services. Volunteers of all types will be considered to offer help during a recognized county disaster, in the area of health education, general office work and possible teen mentoring.
