Sofiana has a rather bland life. Coming from a family of four older siblings(all boys, one is the NPC alt Javan), Sofi has spent most of life in Southern Telgar. As the youngest, she was mostly taken about with her parents, both cooks at the hold. Being around the environment, she soon began taking up their work into her life, now spending time helping in the Hold's kitchens as soon as she was able to peel a tuber. This went on until recently, when she wanted something more in life.

This, of course, caused a very big argument. Sofiana was their baby.... she couldn't just up and leave. Well, she did. Up and left, and the tender age of fifteen she did, traveling up past Telgar Hold to Crom, where the girl was looking for a job. The official reason why she left is because she didn't get along with her parents. Far from true, really. She did get along with them, it's just Sofiana, with her new ideas of cooking, went past the usual humdrum of the things her parents cooked. So, rather than taking the possiblity of forcing her parents out of a job, or never finding a place where she can try the recipies she's been dreaming of, she left.

She eventually took a job at Crom Hold's MineCraft, where she settled in nicely, the usually stoic miners her testing grounds for new recipies and mistakes -- food was food, afterall. It was here she ran into her first love, an apprentice miner by the name of Sean. Soon, the two were inseparatable, as they even contemplated handfasting, once the miner reached journeyman. Something, or rather someone, came into the middle of those plans.

It was a green. A big green by the name of Avaloth, dragon to Kh'aena. One day, while sitting in Crom's Great Hall, she was approached, along with a few other people, to come outside to let the dragon look them over. Well, upon Sofiana's entrance, not only was she tested, she was slurped. A lot. Kh'aena announced that this was the green's way of wondering if the girl would stand for the clutch Ryslth and Jisanth had upon the sands. The girl complied, leaving her world and love behind, and was taken to Telgar Weyr. Many adventures insued, including the meeting of one Gamina, before they were all dragged upon the sands. Standing by, at that point, her best friend Gami, Sofiana watched as all the dragons gained their lifemates. She, however, was not among them.

Sofi didn't take it too well; the girl went back to Crom, only to find her lover gone. Dispondant, the girl remained at the Minecraft, cooking, until one day a golden dragon made it's entrance known to the miners. Gamina, now Jr. Weyrwoman to gold Lisiath, wanted the cook to come back and live with her, since there was nothing binding her to the Craft. Reluctant, she went, gathering her things and taking up residence within a spare cavern off of Gamina's own weyr. However, the rather lisless cook was going to get a big surprise. Two of the candidates turned riders that she stood with, L'ren, and T'lim, seemed to both have an interest in Gamina. Sofi knew this, knew that Gamina in return had feelings for both, but the little cook tossed a monkey wrench into the whole deal. She, in conversations, and too many close encounters (including falling asleep in his weyr drunk), fell head over heels for L'ren, bronze Adrith's rider. Her feelings, and knowing the ones of her best friend made her so withdrawn that Gamina finally pulled her out of the cavern to confront her.

Unable to keep it in, Sofiana confessed her feelings to Gamina.... only to find out that she came to the conclusion that she wanted a relationship with T'lim. Well, that settled it. Both girls told both guys... and life was good. Not to say that since then, the relationship with L'ren hasn't had its ups and downs. L'ren gets occasionally distracted (particularly with one Rt. Weyrwoman by the name of Zhia), but she takes it all in stride. The first turn in their relationship produced a son, Larsen, and now, it seems in the third one, Sofi's pregnant again.
