Participant Profiles

Here you will find a listing of Battle Zone participants, as well as information about the characters they play.  To make things easy, the names here aren't just written in pretty lime green for fun!  Players' names are links to personal profiles of participants or e-mail links so these people can be contacted with ease.
Evil characters will have a miniature Imperial symbol (

High Inquisitors

Imperial Intelligence has proven themselves to be quite effective at ripping information from the minds of even the most indomitable prisoners.  It has many sophisticated devices of torture at its disposal, including pain tables, nerve inductors, selective neurotoxins, sensory deprivation chambers, sensory overload chambers, truth drugs, and IT-series interrogation droids, all of which prove frighteningly efficient at breaking subjects both mentally and physically.
There are, however, two cases where the technology of Imperial Intelligence either has no effect or cannot work fast enough for time-critical information to be extracted before it is rendered out of date.  The first case is in those very rare incidents where a Jedi is the subject.  Jedi are usually unaffected by the Interrogation Unit's ministrations and have even been known to will themselves to die to avoid giving any information.  The second case is where a subject proves to be far more naturally resistant (or extremely well-trained) than anticipated.  In the cases where the standard technology is ineffective, the Empire has another avenue: the Inquisitors.

Major Characters

As is stated in the guidelines, a major character is one who either appeared in the movies or in any of the many novels.  It takes a special player to effectively play the part of a major character, mainly because a person can rarely capture the flavor of that character's personality properly (personality in regards to how that character would react to a given situation, and how that character acts in general).

Emperor Palpatine is the recognized leader of the Empire.  The player who had been responsible for this character has dropped off and has not been heard from since September of '97.  I have provided the Emperor's stats so that players will know just exactly how powerful and cunning Palpatine is.

In 1991 the first in a new trilogy of Star Wars novels written by Timothy Zahn was published.  One of the pivotal new characters of this trilogy was Mara Jade, a Force sensitive, no-nonsense woman with the skills of a deep-cover assassin and the troubled past of one who served the Emperor for her entire life.

Another character who debuted in the Thrawn Trilogy was Garm Bel Iblis.

Yet one more character born of Timothy Zahn's fabulous mind, Talon Karrde is to smugglers what Lando Calrissian is to gamblers.

Talon Karrde

Perhaps the most intriguing character ever introduced by any of the authors of the Star Wars novels, Grand Admiral Thrawn also made his debut in the Thrawn Trilogy (hence it is known as the Thrawn Trilogy).

Jedi Instructors of the Jedi Academy
(Not all exactly major characters, but...)

Jedi Knight Kyp Durron - Though Kyp is suffering with the betrayal of his wife Marina (as detailed in various BZ archives), he is still a   powerful Jedi Knight and a worthy instructor.
Jedi Master Streen - Streen is certainly getting no younger, but he has a strong mind and a powerful sense of responsibility for training Jedi
Jedi Master Kam Solusar - Kam's strengths as a Jedi Master are his first-hand knowledge of the Dark Side and his successful instruction with the lightsaber and combat training.  A member of the Jedi Council.
Jedi Knight Hally Winger - Hally is gifted in the ways of stealth and healing and her lessons tend toward those things.
Jedi Master Vicci Neross - A native of Alderaan, Vicci has an affinity for nature and focuses on the "living Force" in her teachings.
Jedi Master Teyan Tannis - An Omwati Master who is proficient in the practices AND traditions of the Jedi order.  A member of the Jedi Council.
Jedi Master Hawran Riciao - As with all Evrishi, this Master tends to make females swoon.  He's not arrogant or proud, however, and worked hard to become a Jedi.  A member of the Jedi Council.
Jedi Knight Ezekial Andr'syn - As though living a hard life had prepared him for the ordeals of being a Jedi Master, he is ready and able to take on another challenge. A member of the Jedi Council
Jedi Master Armadus Voll - Tragedy has taught this Jedi Master how to deal with adversity in a peaceful manner.
Jedi Knight Swordmage Tiernan - Tiernan assists Kam Solusar in lightsaber instruction.
Jedi Master Toshibin Jengo - Dedicated to serving the living Force, this Master instills the same devotion in her students.
Jedi Master Vima Da-Boda - Vima is newly arrived to the Jedi Academy.

Please note:  The Rebel Alliance symbol - - was not placed next to any Jedi
Instructors because I felt the political allegiance of the Jedi should be pretty obvious.

Account of the Dead

As time passes, characters die. That is the way of things; the way of the Force.  This is a listing of characters who have passed on from the mortal plane.  As it is uncommon for a character to die on the Battle Zone, this page is not very full, but I suppose that is a good thing.

Major Characters Now Being Played

In the past I have allowed people the opportunity to play a major character from the movies and novels, but it is hard to stay in character and do the character justice.  I will not be allowing new players to take on the role of any of the major characters, as it is my earnest desire that people come up with a character of their own!

Currently, only these characters are being played:

After a player has established that they can handle the pressure of writing, and possibly keeping a major character IN character, then they can ask to be "responsible" for a character from the movies or novels.
