T R I L O G Y

The Yin Yang trilogy was my first DW fanfic, and it ended up being a lot more complicated (and long) than I ever expected it to be. It came out of a desire on my part to write something romantic, and not smut (not that there's anything wrong with smut!). Since there's no romance in DW, which in my opinion is just as it should be, we hopeless romantics are relegated to the sky's-the-limit world of fanfiction. When I first posted it to ADWC I didn't know what kind of reception it would get, but people seemed to like it.

For the subjects of my story, I chose the 7th Doctor and Ace. They're my two favorites, and I think they had the strongest canon relationship, or at least the most complicated. So I started with a little scene where Ace is visiting Benny, and feeling a little down about her life and it grew from there. So if you don't like Doctor/companion romance, I suggest you turn back now before it's too late!

The story also enabled me to finally write about a character named Theo, someone who's been with me a long time. Her character has been running about inside my head for many years and I was delighted to find that she and her cohorts fit so well into the DW universe.

Yin Yang

Yin Yang is the first book in the trilogy and it sets up the Doctor/Ace relationship and the other players in the story. It's largely a character piece, but it does have a plot involving Eternals, time travel, white water rafting and some surprise visitors.

Janus Days

Janus Days is the second story in the trilogy, and for reasons that escape me I made it a Doctor crossover...boy, what a headache! Married now, Ace and the 7th Doctor spend most of the story apart, in different timelines...as Ace gets to know one of her husband's previous incarnations, and experiences the return of the entity which brought her together with the Doctor in the first place.

The Soul Gardens

The Soul Gardens is the final installment in the trilogy, and the most ambitious. Several plotlines which have been ongoing are going to come to a head and the Doctor and Ace will have many things to work out...I don't want to give anything away before you've read it!

I welcome your comments and feedback, both positive and negative. Please feel free to email me. I also run a mailing list for my readers who wish to receive chapters via email as I write them and I'd be happy to add you to the list.
