Introduction

Hi! Welcome to my homepage. You are visitor number to this page so far. I mostly work on the page at the weekend, so the best day to check for new reviews is Monday (GMT time). If you don't find what you're looking for, bookmark the page or add it to your favourites and call back next Monday!

The music is called "Darkened Light", copyright (c) 1997 by Chris Tilton. Permission to reproduce it here has been granted by the composer. Thanks Chris! E-mail him at Chris46@msn.com.

This page includes reviews of older books as well as new ones. Otherwise I'd have to spend all my time (not to mention money!) reading new books, and there are a lot of older ones I want to read. You might have to ransack your local library or second-hand bookstore to find some of these, but they're well worth the effort - only good books make it onto this page!

The reviews are organised by author. Click on one of the links in the 'Contents' frame on the left to view some general information about the author's work and a list of books by that author. Click on the title of one of the books to read the review. I haven't included any info about publishers or prices because this varies internationally, but I've included the ISBN for each book, which doesn't.

I've included links to related sites whenever possible. Do remember to bookmark this page or add it to your favourites before you click on one of these external links, won't you - I want to see you again, OK?

A word about copyright. I've quoted small passages from each book, just a paragraph or two to give you the flavour of the writing. I've also in many cases based biographical info about the author and the synopsis of the book on material printed on or inside the cover. My understanding is that this kind of thing is usually considered OK for purposes of review. As this is a non-commercial page, and I am, in effect, promoting the work of these authors and the product of their publishers, I can't imagine any of the authors or publishers objecting. But if you are an author or publisher and do object to my use of your material, tell me about it and I'll stop. E-mail me at brenreyn@geocities.com.

Thanks to 'A Touch of Magic' for the dragon and hippogriff (have I spelt that right?) graphics. Once again, clicking on the banner below will take you away from this site, so if you want to come back - well, you know what to do!

If you've wandered into this page from someplace other than my homepage (i.e., you don't see my banner across the top of the page and a list of contents down the left), please click here to go there now.
