Crystal Violet

	Crystal Violet
spilled all over
my incompetence...

but I have patience
a little persistance, a little less pride.
	It helps...
The alchemic container in its basin by the sink
glinting with mysteries
such a colour
for a serious endeavour.

Crystal Violet:
opaque unviscous liquid
grooved along its nozzle, glass
not plastic,
a label stained too much too read.

Skin 
	stained;
a better job than I could do
of the cell upon the slide.
After repeated scrubbing with alcohol (diluted just enough for student use)
remains my skin:
	enhanced, defined,
why
did they make the container like that?  it was
impossible to pour.

	Technique,
	Science
studied, 
as my instructor would have approved, 
but when the
knowledge 
was applied, 
i
slopped expensive chemical down the side bench
while my slide remained untouched.
