As mentioned in the alt.fan.edings FAQ there has been a recent attempt to set up a regular meeting place on IRC for all those interested in talking about all things Edding's related. A vote was taken over the space of about a week, and the following proved to be a general consensus/most popular setup.

This is not the only place you can find IRC Channels devoted to David Eddings, there are #eddings channels on virtually every IRC network, including, Undernet, Efnet, and Dalnet. Espernet was chosen by a majority vote as a regular meeting place/time (as above) for people on alt.fan.eddings to meet up if they so wished to.
