ST-23 "A-Trainer"

Not normal seen in combat this is an awkward looking contraption that allows an instructor to accompany a student pilot into space. Since the student must remain in the same position the only place to put the instructor is upside-down in a pod attached to the top of vessel. The instructor can cut the pilot out and take control at any time.

ST-25 "B-Trainer"

A two stick version with limited RIO electronics (but full avionics) for the backseat instructor. Like the ST-23 this vehicle will never be seen in combat situations

SE-25A "Prowler"

An *unarmed* electronic warfare variant of the Badger. This item is still under development, so the presence of even one of these one a Cap ship will be unusual. If a prowler is operating with a squadron:

S-26 "Tractor"

A very unassuming name for a very versatile craft. Single person cockpit lay similar to the Aurora, but uses the engine system from the Badger. This unit is used to drag at least three different types of "trailer" units. Different command modules can easily be snapped in and out of the tractor depending on the types of trailers to be controlled. While not attached to the pod the Tractor can move at 35 fighter MU.

Reconnaissance "trailer" SR-26: Contains spy electronics, camera's, etc. Typical tactics. Make a high speed run towards the target and then detach the pod. The high speed of the over engined Tractor then allows it to race around and get on the opposite side of the formation to retrieve the pod after(if?) it passes through the danger zone. Data is continually transmitted from the pod to recorders on the tractor as well as recorded internally. The pod is 'relatively' light and this combination can move at 30 MU.

Re-supply "trailer" SK-26: This pod contains fuel for Starfuries, but none of the amenities of a Porcupine. The pods are detached and placed in a stable course for starfuries to access. Max speed is dependant on the number of pods carried. 25 MU for one pod, 18 MU for two, 11 MU for three. These numbers may be upped for empty pods to 30, 25, and 20 MU respectively.

Mine layer "trailer" SM-26: This pod lays long duration mines that have rudimentary control systems. These can be full sized Energy mines that will go off if a cap ship without the proper Friend of Foe [IFF] approaches within a given range of MU. Other types of "torpedo" mines are also possible [no stats yet sorry]. Unlike mine launching mine laying is time consuming and not normally done in combat situations. Allow 3 rounds of motion at 6 MU or less to lay one mine. The mine layer can drag up to three placement pods, use the max speeds for re-supply pods.
