--Thomas M. Ray, DOB 6/25/49, Hope Mills, North Carolina. BS,1972, MS,1975, Geology from The University of Southern Missippi. I have been employed by Mississippi Office of Geology since May 18, 1992, where I Help to enforce mining rules and regulations and aid operators with land reclamation. I am also Vice President and systems designer for Cyberdrill, Inc., an oil well drilling engineering company. I currently reside in Crystal Springs, Mississippi.

--My skills and fields of interest are quite extensive and varied. In addition to being a scientist, I am also an artist who works with varied media from pen and ink to oil. I am a former president of the Biloxi(Mississippi) Art Association and have sold many of my works. I am a skilled carpenter and woodworker. I have designed several houses and small office and apartment buildings. Other skills include those in Electronics, computer programming, drafting and writing.

I have written THREE Screenplays, one being "THE EYE of RAMA", a Sherlock Holmes Mystery, "THE ICEBERG CONSPIRACY", about a terrorist plot to sink a modern replica of the TITANIC and a government agent's attempt to stop them. and "The LAST FRONTIER" About a Female ex-Starship Captian who's "gunning for" the head of an interstellar crime cartel.

All have recieved GOOD+ Reviews and several producers have asked to read them (pretty cool THEY are asking ME and not the usual other way around) ---I haven't sold any yet though. I am working on 3 more that will be even better---(Its only a matter of time)

Other feilds of expertese include Music, Psychology, Theology, History, Native American Studies, Astronomy, Physics, Mathematics and Paranormal Phenomena.

CURRENT PROJECTS

--I am engaged in several ongoing personal projects. These include the restoration of my ca.1858 residence, an Antebellum "Greek Revival Cottage", Improving the Cyberdrill programs and systems, "mapping" the thought processing of the Human Brain, for possible incorporation into computer programs, Collecting and transcribing "obscure" 19th and early 20th Century music to computer MIDI formats, Writing a "Sherlock Holmes" novel "The Eye of Rama", and continuing a 30 research and study of so called "Paranormal" phenomena and "UFO's".

"Home Sweet Home". I purchaced this 2600 sq ft house in Crystal Springs, MS for $32000 in 1993. I later found out that it was a "Greek Revival Cottage" built around 1858. I have been restoring it to its original appearence. I single handedly removed the rotted "bungalow porch" and rebuilt the original greek "portico" porch seen here, based on old photographs .--It even amazes myself that I actually did this alone . the square pillars themselves are nearly 10 feet high.

Here is one of my oil paintings. It is 24 by 36 inches. It is based on an old photo of the riverboat "City of Providence" taken around 1879. The "City of Providence" (Louisianna) was one of several nearly identical craft that were owned by and operated by the "Anchor Line" and was finally destroyed by ice in 1910.
