LETTER TO MY DAD

Hello Dad,
I just wanted to let you know that I am okay.
I’m sorry I had to go away.
Heaven is so wonderful I am no longer in pain.
And all of Heaven I have gained.

Jesus is just like I had always been told.
If you could see me now, as I walked the streets gold!
The gates are made of pearls so white.
And the mansions on the hill, oh what an awesome sight!

I met a few of the guys and Noah too.
Heaven is so grand, please don’t be blue
I know we’ll be together again.
Jesus told me we would if you stayed free from sin.

So Dad, please would you listen once more.
I can’t wait till we meet on heaven’s great shore.
I told them I had an important task.
They said, all I had to do was ask.

I told them I wanted to watch over you.
So Dad, please promise you won’t be blue.
I will be right there beside you each step of the way.
Just look up to heaven each and every day.

I’d better go now, it’s almost time, they’ll be waiting for me.
You see, I just wanted you to know that heaven was all we
Were ever told it would be.
I love you, I miss you, so please don’t cry.
I am sorry there was not time for good bye.
