Me :)

My name is Julie Baker, and welcome to my little home on the net :) It's not much, but us code idgits can't be too choosy.

Right now, I attend the University of West Georgia and will be graduating in spring. (Just for the record: I /HATE/ semesters!) My major is Mass Communications, and I have no idea what I'm going to do with the rest of my life after graduation. Right now, I have plans to stay in Carrollton and get an apartment and commute to work in Atlanta. (If you're someone who can give me a job, or even an interview, my resume is here.) A big reason that I want to stay in Carrollton right now is because of my BF Andrew. (Love you, Drew!)

Um, what else...oh, I really enjoy MUSHing and have met many great friends there. I collect pencils, comic strips, and dust elephants under the bed. There's at least two herds under there.

I'm not much of a sports person, but there are two sports I'll actually sit down and watch: baseball in summer, and ice skating in winter. Everything else can just disappear, and I'll be happy ;) I really don't have a fave baseball team, but Kirby Puckett of Minnesota Twins fame (go Twins!) rocks! Oh yeah, I also enjoy wrestling. (Jesse 'the Body' Ventura rocks too!) Why? It's the last place where I can get gratuitous violence simply because. And it's fun. It's the only soap opera I'll watch. ;) I have a lot of favorite ice skaters, especially Todd Eldredge, Elvis Stojko, Viktor Petrenko, Scott Hamilton, Kurt Browning, Katerina Witt, Katerina Gordeva, Todd Sands and Jenny Meno, Jumpin' Joe Sabotcik and just plain lots others. Tolja there were many ice skaters I liked ;)

Hm...music. Well, TMBG rules. I'll listen to just about anything but country and rap. In the CD player right now is Trans-Siberian Orchestra. You've never heard Christmas music like this :) I sing in the choir at West Georgia, and at the end of the school year we're going to Germany! I'll get to see where Bach lived and played...nifty :) And maybe meet some of my MUSH friends :)

Television...I don't watch it much, but what shows I do watch; they rock! I can talk intelligently about these three shows: Babylon 5, X-Files, and Due South. I'm a bit miffed atm at Chris(t) Carter, who has no clue whatsoever about the conspiracy theory mytharc, and I'm sorry to say, but Full Disclosure it certainly ain't. Too bad he couldn't have taken a hint from Michael (The Great Maker) Strazinsky. What a /great/ scifi show. Due South? I love a man in a uniform ;) Especially if that uniform is a cherry red...'Victoria's Secret' is, imho, the best 'sappy' ep; and 'the kiss' between Fraser and the inspector...brilliant! :) I think that's about it...

Alright, update! ;) This is my thesis I had to do for my MassCom Law class on the Communications Decency Act and the Child Online Protection Act. Read it and tell me what you think! :)
