Transformers. These are the "Robots in disguise" which were first introduced to the American public within the early to mid-eighties. How could a toyline that started with only a few cars and jets that transformer into mechanical warriors hold anyone's interest in this day and age? Good question. There are a myrid of reasons held by each individual within Transformer fandom.
As for me? I'm not intirely certain. Who's to say? I was facinated with these shape-changing mechs about a year after they were first introduced and just...never lost interest throughout my high school or college years.
Here are some special aspects of the Transformers Universe...
Optimus Prime. He happens to be the most well-known and well-loved character within this Cybertronian realm. Not suprisingly, he happens to be mine as well. His selfless dedication for life is worthy of the highest honer.
The gunner Bluestreak.
Yes, this is a Decepticon. Aero-Space Commander Starscream to be exact. Although I maintain a general bias towards Autobots, there is a small minority of Decepticons I find interesting enough. He happens to be one of them.
No, this isn't a Transformer. It is a character I played on several Transformer MUSHES. Her name is Candice Thompson.
What is a MUSH? It's a Multi-User Shared Hallucination played via Telnet over the internet. It's when a character is applied for by a player and role-played. Think of it as an interactive story in which you take on the life of a certain character and actively take part within the life and times of that particular setting.
