The primary purpose of KLAW is for fellow Klingon enthuasists, aspiring writers, and adventurous Role Players to gather with like minded individuals, forming a fan based culture to explore. Please note, KLAW is based primarily in Florida, USA. However, we are always on the lookout for aspiring Warrior Leaders to accept the challenge and promote our orginazition in their local areas.

K.L.A.W. is first and foremost a Star Trek fan organization, based on the Klingon ideology. To this end we adopt a Klingon, or as we prefer, a Klin attitude in our dealings among ourselves and others. Vessels (a.k.a. chapters) are encouraged to keep an active social schedule; many are also engaged in a variety of community service projects.

K.L.A.W. maintains an overall timeline that is concurrent with the Star Trek movies. Members assume the roles and responsibilities of Klingon officers or crew members assigned to various departments (a.k.a. specialties) on each vessel.

Serve in the Imperial Klingon Navy or Imperial Marines, or maybe even in the Klingon Diplomatic Corps.

Fellow warriors and allies from other organizations are also invited to strengthen the ranks of the Legion.

Annual membership in K.L.A.W. begins with your membership package containing a membership handbook, membership card, membership certificate, subscription to THE PILLAGE VOICE (K.L.A.W.'s newsletter), the Klingon alphabet, an application to the Imperial Klingon Star Academy, and the Legion Directory of Chapters.

New and unattached members are initially assigned to Strikebase Vengeance or Starfortress Corrine. Strikebase Vengeance is the repositioning station for the Imperial Marines, while the Starfortress is a way-station for the Imperial Navy. If there are no chapters near you, consider starting one - contact the Legion Operations Officer for details.

Members are encouraged to take on the guise of the warrior [this is half the fun of being a Klingon fan.] To this end, K.L.A.W. also provides a resource service of available Klingon-related products and supplies.

Members transferring to K.L.A.W. from other organizations may apply for a transfer of their present rank.
