Believed to be the Doctor's grand-daughter, Susan was already with the old Time Lord when we first encountered him. The relationship between the two has never been confirmed but it is certain she was from Gallifrey. Like the Time Lords, she has telepathic abilties and she has more than a visitors knowledge of the planet and its history, She eventually left the Doctor for David Campbell, a human freedom fighter from 25th century Earth, whom she met whilst helping the Doctor to liberate the planet from the clutches of the Daleks.
