Another List of X-Links

they work in the shadows...

Hey there, folks. I just thought I'd make my contribution to the X-Files community on the web. The X-Files section on my homepage was getting juuust a little bit too long, so I decided to devote a whole new page to my favorite current TV show.

Let's not talk about how long it's been since I updated this page, let's just get down to the nitty gritty recently updated portion of our program.

To begin with, here are some nifty links.

First off, not to give any more support to those... people... at Fox than is absolutely necessary, but their Official X-Files site is actually a very good set of information. The character profiles used to be a rather unfortunate addition to this page, but really they've gotten much better lately.

Now, on to the *real* sites, the ones that helped bring the X-Files a lot of fans, and support the obsessions of thousands of others...

First off, there's RJ Christen's Top Ten Lists. RJ writes some absolutely hilarious X-Files Top Ten Lists. Don't mess with David

Okay, it's been a while since I updated this page, 3 months or so to be exact, and in that time my good buddy, Dawson Rambo has finished one epic, written several short pieces (from tear-jerking, heart-rending drama, to a Tom Robbins-style musing on Pop Tarts), and started another even more epic epic. This page has recently added some really really great graphics created by a friend of Daws's, and it looks spectacular. His novels are Snapshot and Umbra, and he's working on ELS probably as we speak. Forget about those pathetic excuses for X-Files novels that Kevin Anderson (a man I'm convinced has no idea how Mulder and Scully's dynamic works), and go check out Dawson's page...

Paula Graves writes some of the best, most eloquent reviews I've ever read of X-Files episodes. She has an incredible knowledge of the characters, the mythology, and the nuances of the shows. They can be found at her homepage. Also to be found there are some heavenly explainations of why Mulder and Scully belong together. Oh, by the way, she's a Relationshipper, and the reviews reflect this heavily, so be warned, all you non-believers.

Speaking of Relationshippers, there is a Relationshipper Clinic out there on the web, where all you 'shippers can go to read even more reasons for the inevitability of a Mulder/Scully relationship.

More fodder for 'shippers can be found at the Gossamer Fanfic Archive, which also contains plenty of damn good straight adventure stories, actual X-Files, mythology stories, crossovers, alternate universe stories, and much more. I've got myself a story there, which you can subject yourself to by clicking here. If you've got time on your hands, go for it! And tell me what'cha think.

If your taste runs towards the men who actually write the show, you can go to a fan's Vince Gilligan page. Vince has written some of the best X-Files eps ever, including Paper Hearts, Memento Mori, Leonard Betts, and the absolutely hilarious Small Pototaoes. He's second only to Darin Morgan when it comes to writing X-Humor. Go on, try out his page. Lots of good info, and a picture!!

For those of you who'd like to get a look at our agents, go to the X-Files Photo Gallery. It's the best collection of X-Files pictures I've ever run into. It's got pictures of David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson, and all the rest. Very nice collection!

And for nitpickers and quote hounds, Tiny Dancer's Episode Guide has more than enough info and quotations to keep you happy. There are also scripts, and links. The quotes are the most complete I've seen, and there are also sounds. No pictures, but the other stuff makes up for it.

And on a more serious note: There is a campaign that was started by the Fox network to eliminate all vestiges of fanpages on the web. In reality, the fan pages are probably giving them more profit than it's losing them, and they don't really need the damn money anyway. However, this is what they're trying to do. If you'd like to find out more about this, visit the X-Files Free Speech page. Chip into the cause by putting a spiffy icon on your page showing just how off-base you think Fox is. Find out how to contact them too.

Well, there you go. Those are my links so far. You can also visit my Twin Peaks page. There'll definately be more later.

Any and all feedback is intensely welcome. Email me at slhamm@u.washington.edu.

Have a good one...

...and relax Relaxin' Baby
