Daris entered the Republic Military Academy at the age of 19. He proved to
be extremely gifted and had little trouble in staying at the top of his class throughout the academy. Daris graduated a year early and at the age of 22
entered active service. His talents earned him a place as a combat instructor at the RMA. While there, Daris also served as a member of the Carida
garrison. Several commendations are on his record for his service, both as a member of the Carida garrison and as a instructor at the RMA. At the age
of 26 he was transfered to a unit known as G-1 and he officially became an instructor at large. . However, Daris was
suspended from active duty over a year ago for insubordination to a superior officer. This is his first and only black mark on his service record.
The record currently shows that this disiplinary action has been dealt with and that he once again became an active military officer, serving as an aide
to Brigadier General Andrew Phalanx. The popular General would clash with President Lews Farouche and was temporarily relieved of his command leaving Daris Kyrn as the acting CO of GroundOps Operations. Much to Daris' relief that time has passed to with
the reinstatement of Brigadier General Andrew Phalanx and with
the sad passing of President Farouche. Daris had once again
settled into his role as Executive Officer of the Operations
branch of the Republic Army, though for the first time he serves
openly as a Jedi Knight. Unfortunately, Brigadier Phalanx's shuttlecraft went missing a month ago leaving Daris with a promotion and the duties of Acting Commanding Officer of Operations once more.
