WHO AM I?

Pre-Register HANGING MAN

What to expect when you get here

skull You know the old saying "hindsight is 20/20"? Well, that's what it's like when you die! You leave your body and your life behind, never to return, and your ignorance seems to lift like a dark veil. Suddenly everything is perfectly clear and you're kicking yourself, asking: Why didn't I see that when I was alive? I was so STUPID!

Another thing...when you arrive here you'll realize there's a familiarity to it all. Almost like you've been here before. THAT'S BECAUSE YOU HAVE, YOU IDIOT!!! Where do you think you were before you were born- on Mars? Sorry, I didn't mean to scream at you, but it's amazing how dim our awareness is when we're alive. Like you're living with partial amnesia. Absolutely no recall of where you were before you were thrust out of your mother's womb. Then when you get back here, it's like Oh, yeah, I remember!

I think I should also prepare you for the fact that it's a very Orwellian reality here. Not so much in the sense that you're forced into conformity, but you are very much aware of the fact that the proverbial Big Brother is watching, and I'm not talking about the government. It's really no different for those of you who are alive now. You are also being watched, monitored, guided, and looked-out for in ways that you don't realize. When you come over here, however, you're just more aware of how connected you are to so many other souls. It can be a shock. I mean...well, there are a lot of things that we think about and do in our lives, in which we think we have a certain element of privacy. We take for granted that nobody will know about some of our most inner, dark secrets. Well, let me tell you, there is no privacy. There is nothing that you can see, do, feel, or think that is yours and yours alone. Just keep that in mind. When I came over here and realized that, I went through quite a few flashbacks of uh...let's say embarrassing moments. It's cool, though, everybody has them. I just wanted to pass that along, because I think there are some people who might live their lives a little differently if they really knew about this.

The longer I'm here, the more my memory fades with regards to what life on the earth plane was like, so this description of the hereafter becomes harder and harder for me to do. Because my time on earth was so short, relative to my existence, I'm already much more familiar and comfortable with the realities I experience here. As I told you, you've been here before, and you've spent much more time here than you have on earth. I'm just trying to help you remember that. So, for me to describe this reality, I have to really dig into my memories of my earth life in order to make some comparisons. This is why I've provided a method for you to contact me on this site. I will need to rely a lot on what you tell me you want to know.

I will say that you can expect a certain period of disorientation and confusion as you make your way from your life on earth to this destination. What you experience is dependent on what your expectations are, what your state of mind was when you died, what your religious beliefs are, and what your life on earth was like. This is an extremely private and individual experience that can seem, for some, like they are wrestling with their own personal demons. It can be a panicky experience, or it can be quite comforting. My own experience was somewhere in between. For many people, particularly elderly folks who have lived a full, satisfying life and are very much ready to leave their aging bodies, it can be a very welcome process with an extremely easy transition. Those who have died violent deaths or who have committed suicide experience more of a shock.

There are different stages one passes through as this occurs, although some people are known to get hung up on a particular plane until they are ready to move on. This is particularly true of suicides and people who have done a great deal of evil in their lives. People who have spent their lives in denial of God also have some troubles as I understand it.

I could tell you about what it was like for me, but it may have little or no bearing on what you will experience. People who have had so called near-death experiences have often described seeing a light and going towards the light. I personally didn't experience any bright lights, but then I was wearing sunglasses at the time.

As one goes through these initial stages of self-examination and disorientation, one is aware of being guided by souls around them who are attempting to ease their transition. This gradually becomes more real, and then layers of awareness begin unfolding like the peeling of an onion, only without the bad smell. At that point, my own transition was one where I was welcomed by a small gathering of friends and relatives (dead ones, of course). My dog that I hadn't seen since high school was even there, along with an uncle I never really liked much. Fortunately the cigar breath that he always had no longer seems to be a problem.

I was eventually introduced to a few wise old souls who have been guiding me since I arrived, and have been helping me to find projects that reflect my interests and abilities. Hence, this web page.

Initially, however, I had to spend a lot of time with a sort of counselor, who helped me examine and come to terms with certain issues and themes that were common to my life. I'm told that almost everybody goes through the same thing, and some counselors are better than others. When you get here, I strongly recommend you request Mr. Pinkerton as your counselor. He was mine, and he did a great job of helping me decide on projects to devote my energies to as I make my way in the hereafter.

Once you outline some of these basic strategies with your counselor, his/her job is done, and you move on to mingle with other souls. That part of it is very exciting, sort of like graduating from school. Believe me, the worst part of this whole process is having to dig up a lot of your past, before you can face your future in the hereafter. You'll probably find, as I did, that there are a lot of skeletons in your closet (no pun intended) that you thought you were done with.

I think that one of the biggest misconceptions that people on earth have is that your life is a big struggle, and you have so many problems, and that once you die, you go to a place where you can just hang out and eat grapes and listen to angels playing harps. People think that all effort ceases once they become dead.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

I mentioned earlier that your life on earth is very short in comparison to the infinite nature of your soul. Imagine a sort of lake or small pond in which you must learn to swim. Before you go into the water, you get to watch other people swim across the pond. Most of them make it, some sink, some drown, some just hang out at the shallow end, and some just give up. Some of them cheat and use a floatation device to make their way across. So you watch and analyze, and figure out exactly how you're going to do it when your big day comes and you finally get to try swimming.

KICK METhen one day you're thrown into the cold water and it's a shock. You panic. You kick, you scream, you cry. Eventually you start moving your arms and legs in such a way that you're actually swimming. After what seems like a very long time you may reach the other shore and get pulled out of the water. Or, you may get pulled out of the water before you've made it all the way accross, for reasons that you don't understand.

Once again you find yourself back on dry land, looking back on how you dealt with the task of learning how to swim. You see all your mistakes, your embarrassments, your successes.

The lake is your life on earth. Get it?

I haven't been able to find out for sure yet if reincarnation is something that really happens in the way that we normally think of it. I keep getting told that I'll come to know all these things in good time, like I'm some kind of a kid or something. My understanding of things keeps evolving the more time I spend here. I'll get to a point where I think I understand something clearly, then reality shifts just a little bit, new concepts come into my awareness, and then I have to completely reorganize my belief system all over again. It's weird. It's like there's no absolute truth, only different levels of understanding. Your perspective keeps changing the more you come to know. I think people on earth, from what I can recall, often think that once they die, then some kind of ultimate truth will be revealed to them. They think that everything is black and white, and it's not like that at all.

The longer I'm here though, the more I think that there must be some sort of reincarnation process so that we can go back and work out issues that we need to deal with. Sort of like jumping back into the pond, now that we've had a chance to think about our swimming technique a little more.

One guy here told me that we do not reincarnate into the flesh again, and he was pretty damn adamant about it. He said that even if that were to occur, there is no way we could ever attain the spiritual heights that we reach in the hereafter, so it would be really pointless to keep going back to re-hash the same things over and over. He compared it to going back to the first grade every year in school. He said that no matter how many times you repeat the first grade, you're never going to move on until you go to the second and third grades, and so on. He told me that my spiritual development will evolve along other realities that I can't even begin to understand yet. He was a pretty trippy old guy and he had a lot of fascinating things to say. A very Yoda-like character. His ears even looked kinda like Yoda's. I've thought about doing an interview with him and posting it on this site, if he's agreeable to that. I'll let you know what happens.

I probably won't be adding to this page much more, if at all. Go to the Diary page for regular updates where I'll elaborate on some of the things I just spoke about. Thanks for visiting!
