SCIENCE FICTION FANTASY Called THE SERIES [Introduction to Episode One] Back in the mists of time before the coarse material third dimension was formed and the UNIVERSE as we know it existed. Before SOLAR SYSTEMS and GALAXIES became existent as we know them. An ancient race of light energy beings existed in all the dimensions. Beings we would call Gods and Goddesses. They possessed the power to create, they lived when anything was possible. One such Goddess was called DIANA, she had been the product of an even older race of beings who had control over TIME and SPACE throughout all the known dimensions. --------------------- The SERIES seems to flow from Episode to Episode, this is not always so, it would be hoped that each Episode could be considered separate yet not apart from the others, the SERIES are dedicated to readers who like to embark on journeys to realms beyond the limitations set by TIME AND SPACE within the THIRD DIMENSION. author: Ray Raymond -------------------- Episode One THE TEST A very pretty neatly dressed seven year old girl had her hair platted in pigtails with yellow iridescent butterflies dancing on the end, she moved to and fro gazing intently at many lights on a huge wall. This place had no definite shape with the exception of the WALL that extended into infinity with millions of clusters of LIGHTS of varying intensity like star clusters and solar systems. A frail old white haired man with a silver beard dressed in a white robe sat in a rocking chair nearby. In front of him was an APERTURE which repeatedly changed from one hue to another, globules of substance changed shape drifting by like phantoms in the night, spinning, stopping, floating, disappearing in rhythm with his silent thoughts, his wrinkled old face serene in a state of relaxation. Diana spent many hours in control of the WALL, manipulating many phenomena and occurrences with the complicated THOUGHT CONTROLS, yet to no avail, she decided to try one last time in hope of passing her test, she would try to create something from the LIVING MATTER that would LAST. A cluster of lights at the far end had nine planetary bodies orbiting a weak yellow star, she GAZED intently again, then looked at her TIMING DEVICE which started glowing red telling her that ALL TIME had stopped, she would have to start the entire process again. Diana turns to the old man and whispers. "Father I've failed my test!" The old man's eyes didn't open. THE APERTURE GLOWED RED WITH BLUE AND WHITE LIGHTENING BOLTS DARTING TO THE CORNERS FROM THE CENTER. The old man replies to Diana in an annoyed tone. "So you failed again, you know what you have to do!" From one end to the other the lights glow white hot, they blink out leaving nothing but black cold empty space. Diana whispers to the old man again. "Oh father, I'm going to be so bored for the next six days till I can try to pass my test again." All MATTER had condensed and returned to it's original state, THE OLD MAN NODDED AND RELAXED AS THE APERTURE RETURNED TO NORMAL. |
