Summary - a child killer is out there and Mulder and Scully must find 
her.  

Disclaimer - well they aren't mine (oops) and I'm not paying to use 
them (oops again) and this is technically illegal (oops again again) 
and well sorry no harm intended!!! And that goes for 20 century fox, 10 
13 productions, McDonalds, DD, CC, GA, and all the other XF peoples.

Notes - this is a cool story (well I think so) see I had this great 
idea the day b4 I went on a school trip to Canada and so I figured that 
well 8 hrs on a bus I can write it on the way there.  Well guess what I 
did not finish till we were 1 hr from home 4 days latter oops well I 
did finish it.  And I did type it.  And I did FINALY spell check it!! 
(Aren't u all happy?) And see the happy meal part comes in cuz we were 
on the bus on the way home and I was like 'otay now what' and guess 
what I had just eaten.     A happy meal so I through it in.  I would 
like to say thanku to all the people on the bus for putting up with me 
asking for name suggestions and plot suggestions and stuff.

Happy meal							

Mulder and Scully were in the rental car driving at a steady pace up 
the 2-lane highway.  Through it was 9 am there was no one else on the 
road leading up to Loveland Ohio. "Why did Skinner stick us with this 
case?" Mulder asked not expecting an answer.

He got one anyway "because it is child homicide and that makes it a 
federal case." Scully explained

"Or maybe he just wanted us out of dc." Mulder replied

"Or maybe he thought we could handle it, I mean a lot of agents might 
fall apart on a case like this.  Ceremonial child killing.  The police 
report said in the past 2 months 4 children have disappeared, on a 
Saturday morning.  2 boys 2 girls between the age of 2-3" Scully 
reminded Mulder

"They were all found dead with in a week in a shallow grave outside the 
children's bedroom window, there necks were split and a cross carved in 
their chest over their heart." Mulder finished.  The expression on his 
face did not change as he said it but Scully began to wince and almost 
looked like she was going to through up.  "Are you alright?" Mulder 
asked 

"Yeah " she answered trying to return to her normal composed face

"If you have a problem you know you can tell me," he said.  He could 
see tight through her façade he knew her too well he also knew that 
child homicide was hard for someone who just lost a child like Scully.

"Ill be fine," she said sternly

They arrived at the Loveland police station "I'm agent Scully and this 
is agent Mulder of the FBI" Scully explained holding up her ID "we were 
sent here from dc to help with the recent child homicides."

"Yes" the officer, said "ill take you to Officer Lenny Carter he's the 
one incharge of that case"

"Thank you" Mulder said as the officer led them to the squad room.

"I'm Officer Carter you must be the FBI I asked for"

"Yes I'm agent Scully and this is agent Mulder" they all shook hands

"I assume you have been brought up to date on the problems we have been having"

"Yes Mulder nodded

"Well then you know we only have two days before the next child is 
kidnapped." Officer Carter said 

"Where do we start?" Scully asked

"The last victim, Lauren Strataus, has a 7 year old sister, Isabel, who 
gave a composite screech but she was barely awake when Lauren was taken 
so the screech is not that good."  Officer Carter said

"Well it's a start" Mulder replied

Officer Carter pulled a screech of a woman with long black hair out of 
his desk.  "Isabel said she heard the woman saying something like 'you 
will be saved my child.  God has called you to come with me.'"

"Do you think that she is religious?" Scully asked

"Maybe either that or previously" Mulder replied

"Is this picture posted anywhere? Scully asked looking closely at the 
picture so she could remember it

"Its in all the newspapers all over town and in nearby towns.  Well 
think she lives in Loveland because all the children were taken from 
here."  Officer Carter said as the phone rang "hello" he said as the 
picked up the phone "what? Annette Denny 676 rainbow trails drive, 
thank you" he hung up the phone

"Who was that?" Mulder asked

"That was our first lead in this case, Jacob Carrolton said he knows 
the woman in the picture, she lives next door.  She is Annette Denny, 
676 rainbow trails drive"

"Lets go talk to her" Mulder said

"Mrs. Denny open the door, police" officer Carter yelled as he banged 
on the door.  The entire police department was there in front of the 
house, there were also a few FBI agents.

"Mrs. Denny, open the door FBI" Mulder yelled

"I don't think they're anyone home" on eof the agents yelled coming 
from the garage, "and I found a key" he came to the door and gave the 
key to Carter.

Carter took they key and opened the door.  "Police" he yelled walking 
into the house with his gun in front of him.

"FBI" Mulder and Scully yelled with their guns out.  Mulder, Scully and 
Carter each went in different directions. 

"Its clear up here" Carter yelled 

"Clear," Mulder yelled 

"Clear," Scully yelled as she put away her gun.  "I want every inch of 
this house searched!"

"Scully," Mulder yelled from the back room, "I think you should see 
this."

She came running in with a few officers behind her.  Mulder was holding 
up a long sward with a rubber glove, the tip of witch was stained red 
with dried blood.  Behind Mulder there was a black marble toped alter 
with many black candles, the walls were black.  They were alone in the 
room, no chairs, no lights, nothing but the alter.  "I think we've got 
a psycho on our hands" Mulder said turning around with his flashlight 
on.

"What the hell is this place?" Scully asked turning around looking.

"A death chamber" officer Carter said and walked in  "bad all this 
stuff as evidence!" he yelled

"So much stuff to put in bags Carter" Mulder joked "Scully and I will 
take the first stakeout" Mulder said

"We will?" Scully whispered to Mulder.

Mulder and Scully sat in the car down the street from Annette Denny's 
house.  On the dash board there were 2 happy means

"Why do they call them happy means?"  Mulder asked breaking the silence 
that had been hanging in the air for so long.

"What" Scully asked a little surprised, not only at the question but 
and the sudden noise of her partners voice.

"Why do they call them happy meals? Mulder repeated the question 
picking up a box.  "I mean what is so happy about them?

"The toy" Scully answered holding up a plush red lobster.  "Kids like 
the toys"

"But I hate lobsters" Mulder said throwing his into the back seat.  
"And I'm not a kid" he said sternly 

"Then why did you get them?"  Scully asked.  She was getting a little 
bored with the whole happy meal thing.

"Well you said you were not hungry and so there was huge, extra huge, 
jumbo, and happy meal, so I got happy meals." He explained

"Oh "Scully said.  She had totally lost interest.  There was silence 
while they ate their meals.  "How?" she asked a little latter.

"What?" Mulder asked as he put down his apple juice.

"How could someone do this?" she continued.  "How ca a person do this 
to a child? How could then hurt the child so much?  How could god let 
them live?"

"Annette Donny is not a person, she is a monster, worse then any other 
we have chased.  And she needs help."  Mulder answered.

"How could god leave her here to do this much killing? How? Why?  Why 
did god leave here and take away Emily, a 3-year-old child? How come 
god took her and left a child killer? Why?" Scully was in tears.

Mulder moved closer to her to console her.  She leaned on his shoulder, 
"it will be alright, we will catch her and bring her to justice, we 
will make her pay."  Mulder consoled.  Scully just sniffed a little and 
nodded as she took her head away.  They fell into a silence again till 
two more officers; one of them being Carter came over to relief them.

The ringing of the phone woke Scully from her dream.  She looked at her 
watch, it was 5:09 in the morning, 'who could be calling now' she 
picked up the phone.  "Hello," she answered  "she did?  Oh yes, thank 
you" she hung up the phone and got started to get dressed for the day. 
 When she got up there was a knock on the door.  She went to answer it 
"Mulder come in" she said and closed the door behind him.

"Did you hear?" he asked he was jogging in place.  "There was a shoot 
out and there was one casualty, Annette Denny" Mulder said.  "Well you 
wana come for a jog?"

"She thought for a second, then answered, "yeah ill come, let me get 
dressed, maybe we can go over to McDonalds and pick up a happy meal?"
