On July 31, 1997 the General Manager of the Seattle Mariners traded Jose Cruz, Jr. for nothing. Just two crappy bullpen pitchers who hurt the M's more than they helped them. But this was the last straw...
On July 31, 1998 at 8:55 p.m. Pacific Time Woody Woodward (the Seattle M's GM) traded the best pitcher in the Major Leagues, Randy Johnson to the Houston Astros for two minor leaguers and a player to be named later. I am no longer a Seattle Mariner fan. Die, Woody.
