The Mechanical Jungle is based on the following rhyme . . . In the world of today, When man has his way; We animals have to adapt. But, it's all gone too far, The jungle we mar, In human traits we are wrapped! The elephant's doing aerobics, The crocodile, he's selling shoes. The hippo is singing karaoke, And the rhino has taken to booze. Now pity the plight of the lions, Our noble Royal family. They're a family now blighted by scandal, While the press watches on from a tree. And what I fear of the future, With mans influence all pervading and strong. We've just as much right to the planet, So, please prove my worries are wrong!
