I am a Moisture Farmer. I live on Tatooine. But there is much more than that...

It started long while back. Beru and I moved to Tatooine to escape, escaped from being in the shadow of my brother. Yes, my brother is General Kenobi, Obi-Wan, Ben. We lived in peace for a long time, till one day Ben came to us. He had a baby with him. He said it was one Luke Skywalker, and that we had to protect him from the Empire and Darth Vader by keeping him secret. He then told us the story of how Darth Vader was really Anakin Skywalker and both Luke & his twin sister Leia were hidden from him. Leia was on Alderaan, and he had brought Luke here. He wanted us to raise him as his Uncle and Aunt, but to let him keep his last name: 'Skywalker'.
I was against it, but Beru told me it was our duty. I soon relented & agreed with her. But when I held him, I realized how strong the Force was in him. I then decided that I would raise him. I did not, however want him following my brother on some Crusade when he grew older, so I forbid giving Luke his father's Lightsaber. I was worried that he may have had to much of his father in him and would be a risk.
Time passed, Ben decided to live out in the desert, and we raised Luke. the memory of how Luke came to us soon faded, but was instantly brought back at the mention of one name: "He says he belongs to someone named Obi-Wan Kenobi. I wonder if he's related to Old Ben...."
I tried to persuade him against pursuing this, but I really knew the time had come. The morning he was gone with the droids I knew where he went. He tried to hide the fact that the little one ran, but both Beru & I knew. later in the day, Beru said that if Luke was to move on (we both knew he was really needed), we would need to remove any reason to stay here on Tatooine. She and I knew of the coming attack of the Stormtroopers. (Like Yoda, my former apprentice, we could see the future, but much easier.) Therefor we created the image of the burned farm and skeletons, and then left for Anchorhead for a day or two so we would not be seen. We knew this a head of time, so Obi-Wan was told of the plan. After we learned Luke & Ben left for Mos Eisley, we returned home. Much later in time, after the destruction of the Emperor, we again saw Luke on Tatooine. We did not need to tell him what really happened, he could sense it. Beru and I have decided not to pass into the Force yet, but continue to live here for a time.
