On a lousy friday night somewhere in the winter of '96 I was home alone and decided to watch some television....zap...zap...nuttin' at all on that stupid box !!!! I took the television guide and my eye fell on the X-FILES: "SF-serie starring Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny: Pilot episode"...ok, why not, being a fan of star-wars etc.... etc.... let's find out if this show is any good.....
And so it begun.....as of the first episode, I was hooked on the X-FILES, every friday night Kan2 had an extra viewer.....I even started staying at home when the show was on.....and now I guess you can call me an X-phile, although I'm not in some fruity X-FILES club I dare to say that I've seen all the episodes up to 5 times so I'm pretty much 'a fan'. One of the nicest things about the X-FILES is the storyline that runs through the seasons....there is indeed a red wire and it's especially hard to follow. It's something like this: Aliens have begun their colonisation on earth, since World War 2 all people are tagged and put in an inventory, all this is being done with the knowledge of the government.....a secret organisation which is called 'the consortium' (a government within a government). This group of people let the aliens have their way in return of power, ultimate power......Because when the colonisation will begin, all of mankind will be turned into living vegetables by what is known as 'the black cancer', an alien virus. The consortium will have access to a vaccin against this virus so you can see their motives... There's a lot more to this storyline but because I live in Belgium I still haven't seen the X-FILES MOVIE: FIGHT THE FUTURE......I'll keep you updated, in the meanwhile visit some of my links to find out all the latest 'bout the X-FILES or if you have a question concerning one or more episodes, don't hesitate to mail me.....All Done.
