So many things come and go
and so many things change without warning
you don't have time to sit back and enjoy yourself
before everything changes again
The 2nd Law of Thermodynamics
is the bane of the sentimental person
who can't reminisce without crying
for no apparent reason.
Everyone wants bigger better faster
new upgrades new versions new this new that
Everyone except me
Why can't things stay the same?
Why is everyone obsessed with change?
Sometimes, I pretend I can travel back in time
When I look up everything will be as it was
and everything is nice and constant and comfortable
Until time passes once again and I wish I was doing
what I'm doing now.
