I'm A Teenager

I'm a teenager
Everyone bow before me - NOW
for I'm some sort of deity
that everyone worships
and envies... and pities.
A form of second childhood
Baby me a few more years
I can't take care of myself
because I've got hormones
Teach me for years that
being a teenager is cool
and when I get that age
shove me into that trendy gilded cage of
marketing filled with magazines,
music and clothes.
And the opposite sex.
It's OK if I have no morals
because I'm young and that doesn't apply
It's not like there's a tomorrow,
it's not like I've got a soul
It's not like I've got responsibilities
It's not like I should have any control
You got that straight?
High up in the Mt. Olympus of the Public School
High above the clouds where I'm just great and
everyone else is a fool.
...Graduation day....
!!!!POP!!!!!
Falling down....
to the ground....
pieces of the bubble falling all around.
