General history

Delithita was born in 2805 in an aristocratic family. Her father was an Imperial Knight, who fell from favor in 2815 due to rumors of rebel sympathies. He and his wife were killed on 17 July 2815 by a group of fellow Knights, who captured Delithita and exiled her to Mercury's Caloris Antipode Colony.

Delithita's skills at gardening served her in good stead as she became the CAC's chief botanist, in charge of maintaining the colony's air and food supply gardens and hydroponics. She continued in this role until the Starsiege began in September 2829.

Development of abilities

Delithita's abilities began to develop in early 2834, though they were uncontrolled and she was unaware of them. Her dark subconscious began manifesting 'ghosts' that would infest the colony and occasionally severely injure or kill fellow residents. When she found and confronted the 'ghost' she suffered severe injuries. Over the next few months she gained no further knowledge of her abilities until just before the Shift, when she discovered she possessed the ability to heal and make plants grow even in inhospitable environments. Her struggle with her 'ghost' continued past this, however, and she nearly killed all her fellow Ghosts until Maria made her aware of what she was doing.

Delithita's destructive tendencies make her abilities quite dangerous, and despite her dedication to preserving and creating life, the death toll of those who crossed her continues to rise as she continues to think up new ways to kill people using various levels of brute force and ferocity.

160cm 48kg red/green, Caucasian/Scottish descent, Asian/Cambodian descent. Small, quick of movement. Has buried memories in her past that cause her difficulty. Prone to severe nightmares and fits of rage.

Character study

She sat bolt upright in bed, breaking herself out of the nightmare by main force.

Damnit. Wasn't it bad enough she had to suffer the original trauma? Was it really necessary to force a reminder of it everytime she slept?

With a mumbled curse she threw the blanket aside and stood, dealing the stone bed a furious kick. Fortunately, she had enough martial arts training to be able to stop her muscles short of full extension, so she only dealt herself pain rather than injury as well.

She splashed water over her face at the sink and looked at her haunted eyes in the mirror. Another day. Great.

The rose on the table stared back at her from below the mirror. Take heart, it seemed to say. You're better off than most. And your hellish excuse for a life is still worth something.

She turned the little cube of glass over and over, studying the fragile little miracle inside from every angle until tears traced down her wet face. "I saved you," she whispered in a broken voice. "Why can't you save me?"
