The Story Of
Sshaerianya

True Form:
Large red dragon, 15 feet tall at the shoulders and about 10 times that from nose to tail tip. She has delicate-seeming wings that are nearly transparent and gleam with rainbow lights in the sunlight. She has a patch of fur between her wings on her shoulders behind her neck ridges, that has large sparkling jewel of rainbow colors embedded in the center (a gift at birth that enhances her psionic powers). Her tail is long and has a line of small spines along the top from hip to tip. Her scales gleam with metallic red lights when the sunlight shines on them. Her eyes are gleaming many-faceted jewels which change color with her mood. And she has long tapered shiny black claws on the ends of each digit.

Elven Form:
With long red hair, she is considered beautiful by most. She dresses as a fighter in leather breeches, green tunic, and leather jerkin belted at the waist. She carries a short sword at her waist and a long bow and quiver of arrows over her shoulder. She carries a pack strapped to her back and has pouches and daggers hidden about her. She also wears knee high black leather boots. To all appearances, she is a fighter, and she has been traveling as a hired mercenary.

Wolven Form:
The wolf is a large female red wolf with black-tipped bristles. She has a full bushy tail and gleaming black toenails. Her long white pointed teeth gleam as she lolls her tongue from the side of her mouth in wolfish laughter. Her gleaming yellow eyes sparkle in the moon light.

Background Story:
Sshaerianya was raised in the woods, isolated from others. She lived with her parents and her brother, all those whom she loved most. Her brother, older than Sshaer, decided to leave home and explore the world. Though the family was saddened at his departure, they respected his right to follow his own path. Many years later, her brother returned disheartened by his experiences in the world and vowing never to leave home and loved ones again. His words were more true than he knew for the world followed him home. Agents of the evil drug-dealing Lotus Lords followed him to fulfill the contract they had accepted: to destroy him and any he may have told about the Lords' activities. Sshaer was hunting that day when the world entered their woods, therefore she alone was spared. Hearing their cries in the depths of her mind, she rushed home to find her family near death and her home burned to the ground. Attempting to use her psionic healing abilities, Sshaer fought to save the lives of her family, but to no avail. With his dying breath, her brother informed Sshaer who their killers were and Sshaer vowed to revenge her families deaths.

Leaving the woods, never to return, Sshaer followed the agents of the Lotus Lords. Being a skilled fighter with sword and in unarmed combat, and quite accurate with bow and arrow, she took a job as a hired mercenary, Sshaer tracked them relentlessly to Areluthril. There she was forced to join a group of mercenaries after witnessing their attack on a wagon train of merchants. It was in Areluthril that she met and formed friendships with Sidal and with Ladar. After parting with the group, she finally located those who killed her family and managed to destroyed them. While she is not rich, she has not been faced with desperate poverty. Being a shape-shifter she often took the form of a wolf to catch her dinner.

She has rarely used her psionic powers since leaving home unless faced with danger (herself or others in her protection). She has vowed not to use her healing abilities, nor to reveal them to others, as she could not save her family. She feels totally alone in the world, and just wants to do something worthwhile with her life. Sshaer wandered into Montfort in elven form planning to take a room at the Inn and perhaps to look for work. While she is looking for a table to grab a bite to eat, she runs into a previous associate named Sidal, the bird-creature whom she had made fast friends with in Areluthril. The two make a vow of sisterhood with each other, both being alone in the world.

Investigating a poster hung by the minotaur head guard at the Healers Hall, the pair decided to stay in Monfort and hired on as guards at the Healers Hall.
