THE FINGERPRINTS OF GOD
By: Robert T. Lee

All of God's creation has the fingerprints of God all over it. And these fingerprints witness to the fact that God CREATED or brought into being from nothing the heavens and the earth and all therein.
According to the bible. But just hold on a minute! There were no eyewitness accounts of this event. The books of genesis were written circa 1000BC (around 3000 years after creationists claim creation happened.) So we have word of mouth story which claims to hold the answer to our existence. Sorry, but any rational minded person you would have to question the authenticity of such a claim.
An atheist sent me email challenging me to prove this fact. Here is what I said to him:
"The fingerprints of God are clearly seen in many ways: One is the fact that no creature has the ability to CREATE. Man can take what has already been created and change it or make a mixture of something with what has already been created; but man as well as every other creature and thing is totally void of the ability to actually BRING INTO BEING SOMETHING FROM NOTHING.

Ever heard of amino acids? You can study the science of these at www.talkorigins.org They have collected a huge archive of opinions and facts and I would recommend anybody to read some of the articles. Especially fundamentalist christians, then perhaps they can get some of their facts straight.

I challenge any atheist, agnostic, freethinker or unbeliever to show a single simple example of anything any man, creature or thing has brought into existence from nothing.
The only One who has and who can do that is the AMIGHTY GOD. Behold the beautiful fingerprints of God!

Sigh. A challenge indeed. And hardly a fair one. Especially as Mr Lee didn't answer his!

Since we are made of matter and since in the 'rules' we cannot alter something which is already exists we have a problem of being set up with a loaded question. Couple this with the fact that the question is posed from a creationist viewpoint and you see the impossible chains in which the atheist would be bound. To answer the question would require you to believe in a god and the limits it has placed on you. And since we are atheists...
Surely a *far* better question would have been can you create life from non-life?
To that I would have to answer, not yet.

If we had the technology to create a mini universe with life within and also the ability to watch them over millenia (sorry if this sounds a bit sci-fi) then the occupants would have no idea how they came into existence and they might even attempt to worship their creators.
Would we then be gods? By creationist definition, yes.

Back to the original argument. This does not prove a 'fingerprint of God' Just bacause we do not understand how to do something or have a solution, it is an illogical step to take to assume 'a god must have done it'
