Mission Statement:

I am a self injurer contributing to the quest to remedy self injury. I began at the Posting Place, an Internet message board for depression and found that I was "not alone" in a very misunderstood concept called Self injury.

I created the "Cutting by X-Acto" website and webring in May 1998 recently changed to "The Cutting World", to provide a personal testimonial regarding self injury and help resources.

The site is constantly being updated and my intent is to support other self injurers and let them know they "ARE NOT ALONE". There is a desperate need to EDUCATE the public that self injury must be addressed openly and not treated as a "mental disorder", but possibly the byproduct of one and /or an addiction.
