About "Triggering"

Don't even memtion the word "dentist".
I was there today and they had to drag me out of the car.
I love my car and she is my safest "space" in the world :)

Now you can laugh at this one: I positively go out of my mind in a restroom with certain types of tiles, (some of it is my vision perception & some is PTSD), I actually go into a PANIC and I can't get out...I feel as if I'm going to fall in "holes", (optical illusion of the tyles). "Normal" people who do not know me and sometimes get involved "rescuing" me think I am absolutely NUTS!!

I detest most of the Homosapeien species in general.

It takes me many days, sometimes months to recover from just going out that horrible door.

(I miss my analytical job very much).

What I really wanted to stress to anyone experiencing the contraversial graphical presentation of "The Cutting World" or the former title, "Cutting by X-Acto" is that part of self healing is facing your fears.

You must stare the "ugly dark side" in the face and confront it", to move on. Otherwise a person/patient will remain in denial, just like the rest of the uneducated public.

In any endeavor to remedy SI, I expect a certain percentage of viewers exposed to the content of sites like this to react to what the typical self injurer lives with daily - the conflict, the blood, the nightmare, (as stated in similar words in my mission statement regarding EDUCATING the PUBLIC).

Believe it or not, I have recieved emails concerning the contrast of what looks like a cyber clinic. These people have actually avoided sites with that type of appearance as they proclaim it "triggers" them that medical personnell "do not understandand most still don't. Any who do are very rare cases and it's a matter of affodability more often that not. So they rely on the "It takes one to know one" theory and they are comfortable with what was "X-Acto". It is more real-life to them.

About the New Title

"The Cutting World" was choosen, not only because I needed something quick to keep the site active, but I deliberately picked a name with a double meaning. Cutting is used as an adjective, as in "brutal world", "cruel...misunderstanding". Like "The BLIND World"; a world that does not "see" - IGNORANT; unaware. Or litterally, interpreted as being dedicated to the visually impaired. People can also construe it as "cutting" as a verb, at face value, if they so choose.
