My name is Victor Forsythe, I'm currently in the process of moving between Boulder, Colorado, and Oregon. I have been working with others to realize a lifelong dream of helping to set up an ecotopian community. I am also the author of 

"Birth of an Angel"

It's is a very special kind of what I like to call a "vision book". I thought I lost my one great love in 1970. I was arrested for sales of 3 - ounces of hashish as well as being in the presence during the sale of 1 gram of cocaine and was facing 5 years to life. As it happens, I was supposed to be getting married the very same day I was arrested. My bride-to-be died in a tragic auto accident the next day. I was at the lowest point in my life.

I began writing this novel as a way to heal my loss...but as the years passed, it has evolved into something much better. The first chapter of my book is part auto-biographical and details what happened to me. The rest was inspired by a vision quest I undertook several years later. I needed to heal the pain of my lost love and this novel grew out of that process. I admit I have used marijuana since my early teens. I am now 50 years old, (although lots of people tell me I look younger).

I believe that occasional use of cannabis/marijuana, activates your mind, and makes you think and question authority. That is why government forces view the use of it as a big threat. {As opposed to being in an alcoholic stupor.} They classify it as a drug, instead of what is really is....an herb with healing power! Not only that, but a plant that has many other wonderful properties for healing our planet!

That is not to deny that it can be abused, like table salt or sugar or anything else, but it wont kill you. 

In the course of my persecution for the use of this herb, I fled the country. I have since spent many long months in jail, in South America, fighting extradition. I never dreamed they would extradite me for three ounces of marijuana!
As stated above, during the course of this ordeal, I also lost the woman I loved and that is the central theme of 

I am very grateful and lucky to have met Carlos Santana, Tim Leary, Stephen Gaskin (The Family Dog, San Francisco), Allan Noonan of the One World Family, The Grateful Dead and others who have helped spread the message of peace and love that was generated from the summer of love I spent in San Francisco in 1967. I also want to thank them as well for helping to inspire this vision. I believe the use of herb has both expanded my consciousness and has blessed me with this futuristic vision of both what can, and what must never be. I also owe a debt of gratitude to the wonderful people at BACH (Business Alliance for Commerce in Hemp).

ANGEL IS ALSO A MESSAGE OF LOVE 

I believe that God is LOVE. We are made in the image of the Supreme and as such we are a reflection of infinite Love. We are all human, we all make mistakes in life. Many of us have made the wrong choice in choosing a life partner. But we don't have to compound our mistake by turning it into a lifelong nightmare. There is someone out there for each and every one of us!

Try to find the partner that shares your ideals. But remember that love is also a two way street, and if you are giving all your love and not getting much in return...it only means that they are not at your level. Believe in love! It is out there! If there are no miracles in your life, something is wrong!

If someone loves you then they should want your happiness! Love should be given freely. Love is not selfish. The reason for this confusion is really very simple: You do not love your dog in the same way you love your car, or love your sweetheart in the same way you love your country or you love God. One word cannot describe all these different types of love. The English language has but one word for LOVE....yet they find new names for computer parts almost every month!

There are native langauges in South America that have over 40 different words to describe that emotion/state of being. The highest love is spiritual. When two people are bonded physically, emotionally, mentally and above all, spiritually.

What is the ultimate union of two human beings?

The message of "Angel" is that of two soul mates bonded soul to soul... it is a love so great, that it transends both death and time.

I hope those that read this novel will be inspired to make life a romantic adventure...to seek out love on the road of life, and breathlessly enjoy the search...until the blessed moment when you find The One!....And you love each other so much ...your souls merge...ACTUALLY BECOME ONE!!! To be transformed into what a soul mate really is...when...as in the movie, "Titanic", the two lovers desire each other beyond all material things...more than anything else in life!

My vision is that this love will unite you as an Angel and that there is a spiritual evolution in the universe...

In the next century, great changes await humanity. I invite those who share this vision to unite in a community of loving, caring, sharing souls that will help lead humanity back to the garden...and beyond...

Those that have been here before know I predicted a right wing president would take office next year {2001}. This will create a backlash when our economy and environment are in ruins! Why does it have to be that way? Why will the forces of greed use marijuana as a tool to enslave us?
