Yandora

A little history on me should help you, dear reader,
to gain an understanding of who I am....

I came to Camelot when hard times came upon my family.
Back home my Sister and Brother run a sheep farm which
supplies me the raw ingredients for my tapestries. They
prepare the wool for me and dye it, then I would weave
tapestries to suit my fancy or for works commissioned.

My first husband, Thomas, was also of great help in
the business. We had been married for five wonderful years
before he died of the fever. Unfortunately, we were never
blessed with the gift of children and that has been an empty
spot within me.

As I said before, I came to Camelot, looking for a chance
to restore the family business...This is where I met T`Shel.

When he first saw the Tapestries I made, I believe
he grew interested in fostering my business. He comissioned
my first Tapestries and through word of mouth increased
interest in them amoung the good people of Camelot.

It wasn't long before we became partners in business.
He found the perfect location for our shop.
As we worked together we found there was a growing
attraction. I couldn't believe it, as I had thought I could
never feel the touch of Love's Blossom again after the loss
of my Thomas. Try as I might to deny it, I found
my heart beating faster when he was near and his
slightest glance would cause a blush to creep
up my cheeks.

He proposed to me in the FireHall of Camelot one night
when many were present to witness. My heart raced
as I said "Aye" to him.

We were married in the Gardens of Camelot
under a Canopy, with those whom we loved gathered
around us. Life has never been better,
forgive me dear Thomas, but I have moved on.
Business is good and steady, and it was our deepest hope
to be blessed with many children of our own.
We did have one child, Eliana. She is a ray of sunshine in my world.

Good fortune, such as we had, is a fleeting thing.
T`Shel oftimes had business away in his homeland of Ydn
and I as well to my sister's farm.
We would part ways as we journeyed
promising each other a speedy return to our home.

On one such day we parted ways,
little did I know our paths would not cross again.
Eliana begged to go with him,
"Just this one time, Mama."
T`Shel said he'd send her back to my sister's
if he should be delayed. Eliana was thrilled
to see her father's homeland at last. They went
together on their journey, hand in hand.

Not long after, news of unrest in Ydn reached my ears.
Frantic with worry I was and no further news came my way.
The world I knew was crumbling around me.

I returned to Camelot,
to an empty home, empty business, empty life.
At last word reached me, Eliana
was at my Sister and Brother's farm.
T`Shel had sent her as he deemed it not safe in Ydn.

He was to follow after.
That was the last I heard of him.
Many a year went by thereafter.
He would come back, he promised. I could not let him go.
He was my life, my very soul ached,
my heart torn asunder.
How could I survive losing the part of myself that was him?
No, not again. I promised myself it couldn't happen again.
He'll come back.

That was near seven years ago.
