Charmed ratings continue to climb, outdoing its predecessor "Popular" in ratings for the past three weeks. In other news, Brian Krause (Leo) has signed on to become a regular on the show. It is unsure if he will remain a "white-lighter" but his character will definetaly develop a stronger relationship with Holly Marie Combs' character Piper. This week the WB will air two repeat episodes, "Morality Bites" at 8 and "She's A Man" at 9, both from the second season. Be sure to catch these if you haven;t seen them yet, they are wonderful episodes.

Charmed's rating continue to go strong, facing competition such as "Frasier" and Thursday night specials. Last week with the season premiere, Charmed's rating was 5.7/9, and this week has increased to 6.0/8. "Wasteland," Charmed's so-called "competition" didn't do so good in its series premiere with a 4.5/6 rating. But even though Charmed is going strong, WB still came in last place in Thursady rating due to ''Popular'' with a 3.6/6 rating. But we've stillg ot time to pull ratings up and prove that Charmed is a great show for this time slot.

WB's 'Charmed' Thursday Sept. 30 results featured the WB's initial first run Thursday try with "Popular" (3.29 million, 1.4/4 in adults 18-49) at 8 p.m. and "Charmed" (5.12 million, 2.3/6 in adults 18-49) at 9. This new lineup grabbed a huge 81% increase over the WB's year-ago premiere women 18-34 results with sitcoms, and "Charmed" set WB slot records in homes and several key demos. Last Thursday, WB finished second for the night in women 18-34. (*Special thanks to The Charmed Fan Site) (October 5th 1999)

In other news, the producers of Charmed decided that perhaps a man should have powers equal to the three starring witches, so they've souped up Leo the handyman's mystical abilities this season. "They've increased my powers and my involvement with the girls," Brian Krause (Leo) tells TV Guide Online. "I'll come back this week with a bit of exposition and to kind of guide them along a bit more, like let them know what they have to do, what needs to be done and how to do it."

What, specifically, are Leo's powers? "They haven't all been revealed, but I'm able to 'orb' in and out (disappear and reappear wherever I want to). I have the power to heal anybody that's hurt. Beyond that, I can levitate things. I'm kind of the guy who goes between the gods (the elders), we call them, and the witches. I'm their guardian angel, if you will." Bria was also asked about what is was like to work with the stars of Charemd. "It's really enjoyable. The three of them are so much fun to work with. It's just nonstop laughs on the set," he says.
To hear Krause tell it, working with the three divas is, well, a charming experience. "They're all very professional and all have their own unique sense of humor. When you put them in a room together you just stand back, you're watching three pros. I almost get caught up and forget that I have lines." (*Special thanks to TV Guide Online)

The WB premiered its new schedule starting at 8 p.m. with "Popular". "Charmed" had a good premiere, pulling a 5.7/9, and competed with "Frasier," which ratings dropped slightly and "WWF Wrestling" for fourth place in the hour (3.4/6 last week). That's all for now.

Okay, here's the latest of what I can find out. Charmed's season premiere will be September 30th at 9 on the WB Network. The show will air on Thursdays now, starting September 16th, and this season should have a few more episodes than last season. The basic premise of the show has not changed, but I've heard that some of the shows styling and dialogue has been adjusted a little bit, so if the show seems different, not to worry, it's still our good ol' Charmed. Holly Marie Combs' character, Piper, as a result of last season, is leaving Quake. It is said that she will get and run her own nightclub, having real performers like the Cranberries and Luscious Jackson performing. Should be a nice twist.

Rumor around the campfire is that Holly-Marie Combs will be co-starring in an upcoming film, but whether or not that's true has yet to be seen. I'll check around on that note.

Merchandise note for now. InkWorks, one of the largest trading cards company, has decided to create Charmed Trading Cards, created by them. Word around the campfire is that they'll be available to order or purchase in stores sometime in early 2000. Check the Charmed Merchandise Store by clicking on its link on the main page of this site. You can find out here's what's new in hot in Charmed merchandising.

That's it for now!

Well, let's see...

1) Charmed's season finale will air this Wednesday, entitled Deja Vu All Over Again, which is about a demon which casts a spell that has a Groundhog Day effect on the Halliwell sisters, they are forced to repeat the same day over and over again. Though they eventually begin to realize that something is up, they may already be to late to save themselves from the Demon.
2) The next season of Charmed, which begins on will now air on Thursdays at 9 P.M. after a drama called Popular.
3) And finally, Shannen Doherty will be starring in an ABC-TV movie by Aaron Spelling. It is called Satan's School for Girls, about a girl who's sister in murdered. Attempting to figure out what happened to her sister, Lockhart (Doherty) visits the college her sister attended before being murdered. There she comes upon a satanic cult, which might have something to do with her sisters’ untimely death. Sounds pretty interesting.

That's all for now, but as more news arises, I'll post it here. Thanks for dropping by.
