Entropy I: If Only To Prevail - 218K
The story came mainly as a result of my disappointment with the Tunguska/Terma arc, and my annoyance with the one-again-off-again treatment of Scully's cancer. Obviously, with teh passing of Gethsemane/Emily and all the other myth arcs that are still to come, the Entropy series has become somewhat.... irrelelvant in the grand scheme of myth-centered fan fic.
The first part of the series was written mainly to resolve the issues mentioned above, while the second installment was written out of my desire to flesh out the fringe characters of Skinner, the Lone Gunman, and Marita more.
It's the story I look most fondly upon -- it was first venture in to fanfiction, and cemented my addiction to the TV show.

Free Verse - 7K
As with my oher vigenette "One Swing", "Free Verse" was written very late at night when my thought processes were slightly warped, and my brain slightly fried.
It was written approximately a week before the fifth season premiere, and questions were abounding on how CC and Co. would work around Mulder's suicide and whether Scully knew of Mulder's plot. I decided to run with the theme that she didn't know, penning my first vigenette and Scully-centric piece in the process.
Much like "One Swing", I also relied heavily on drawing parallels -- in this case between Mulder and the entire "superhero" myth.

Spoilers: Gethsemane
Summary: A tired female agent contemplates her partner's apparent suicide once arriving at her apartment.

One Swing - 9K
I love symbolism. High school English was never my strongest subject, but I love drawing parallels between two totally different objects.
Mulder's story about Samantha falling off the swing in "Paper Hearts" has always struck a resonant chord in me. He mentions the event in passing, but one gets the feeling the accident had much more of an impact on young Fox than adult Mulder is willing to let on.
The swing becomes the entire basis of the vigenette. "One Swing" was written after the "Redux" arc -- one of my least favorite myth arcs. However, it does provide many fill-in-the-blank possibilities and opportunities to show emotions that the two shows couldn't.

Spoilers: Gethsemane, Redux I and II
Summary: Not everything is all smiles and chuckles at the end of Redux II

Paradise Lost - 28K
The story literally wrote itself. It involved a few loose ideas, five hours at the computer, and one very exhausted, crammed out student.
My personal favorite, I tried to poke fun out of everything I possibilty could. It was written during one of the catfights on atxc, and there are many references to the whole "archiving" system of classifying stories, the shippers, filks, and my corner stone: angst.
Of course, the story was also cathartic in a Canuckle-head sort of way. After the "Entropy" series, I was told relentlessly that I spelled "wrong". In reality, it is only a difference between American and Canadian English."Paradise Lost" was my own outlet for my frustrations :-).
