Movies and comics go hand in hand, both offer excapism from the real world and a whole lot of entertainment value. This survey ran for quite some time, due to the fact that university was taking over my life, and this page had to suffer. But a result was found.

There were so many other votes, ranging from Casablanca to Batman to Blade to Austin Powers. Looks like everyone has their own interests, just like everyones comic tastes.
Star Wars -- Winner #1
Well this is deserved. A movie that is over 20 years old hits the number one spot. It spawned 2 sequels and 3 special editions for its 20 year old anniversary, Star Wars rocks. A true movie of escapism, based in a world that we never could have dreamed up, with characters so far varied from ourselves, but so close to our hearts.
We have 3 new prequels about to hit the theatres in June (or May for you lucky
people in the US), and we have all experienced the hype 
that
has been buzzing around the net and in the news. If I was to do this survey
after Episode One had finished, I know it would clearly out do anything that
has been in the theatres before. Star Wars is a universe, not unlike the DC
or Marvel Universes that we can explore and enjoy, this movie deserves all that
it gets.
