Backstabbed

One of my earlier violent drawings. In case you cannot tell, the fighter in the back is stabbing the one in the front with a sword.

A Female Jedi

Here is another early drawing. I obviously like Star Wars, so here is a Jedi. She probably does not need the blaster, though.

Kelinda and Velina

A VERY early drawing, these were my initial concepts of my two MUD characters. At least as far as I could draw them.

Kelinda with Katana

Despite my odd naming scheme, this was actually my first drawing of Kelinda. I did not find out until after I drew this that my character's class made her not only incapable of magic, but it also gave her an extreme aversion to it.

Kelinda Close-up

This is one of my favorite pencil drawings, and it was also one of the longest to do. This was the second version of Kelinda that I imagined.

Kelinda in Pose

I drew this right after the close-up, as to keep the image fresh in my mind. I think the close-up turned out better

My First Knight

This is the first page in my sketchbook. I was heavily influenced by a character from Final Fantasy Tactics. Hard to believe that this eventually became Velina.

Full Plate Armor

After drawing my first knight, I realized her armor was sort of poorly arranged, so I went to the library and got a book on armor. This was a sketch I did of as complete a set of plate as I could conceive at the time.

Quicksand

I have a strange fixation with quicksand, so I decided one day to draw some. This is the result.

Rogue

I used to collect comics, especially anything X-Men. Rogue was one of my favorite characters, so I attempted to draw her in colored pencil.

Velina and the Holy Silver Dragon

Velina is one of my MUD characters, and a healer. Originally however, she was a warrior, and this is how I pictured her. The dragon in the background has nothing to do with and MUD. Instead, it was actually the subject of an earlier project that I had to do in school.

Velina Recuperates

When I first finished this drawing, it was instantly my favorite. To some degrees, I still like it more than most of my more recent ones.

Velina in Combat

This drawing was part of some strange story I was developing. The story never got anywhere.

Kelinda Retouch

This is the Kelinda close-up normal drawing, but with a black background, as well as a lighting effect.

Kelinda's First Coloring

When I first bought a scanner for my new computer, I was so intent on doing some things with my drawings that I tried to color a drawing without really knowing how to. This was done in MS Paint. It was mostly done just to do something.

Kelinda in Color...Again

This drawing took place long after the previous one, after I knew what I was doing. Naturally, it came out significantly better.

Another Kelinda Retouch

This is the Kelinda in pose drawing, retouched in the same way the close-up was.

Kelinda's Depression

This was the first of a set of three drawings that marked my first use of color and shading on the computer. However, it was done in a poor way, and the results show. I sometimes think I ought to do this one as a regular pencil drawing someday.

A Peaceful Kelinda

The second in the set of three, this was probably also the worst. I thought of a cute outfit for Kelinda, but in the execution of it I totally botched it.

Kelinda Cries

The third of the set, and not any better. This was supposed to be somewhat of a rarity of events for Kelinda, but I feel my drawing did not capture any feeling.

Kelinda's Contentedness

I finally improved my technique a bit here. I also tried to use an anime style face, and although it did not turn out quite right, I still like the drawing overall.

Kelinda in Training

Strange, that one of my later drawings of Kelinda takes her back to her youth. Here she is in her teenage years. She is a bit tom-boyish at the time.

Spellbane

Alas, due to technical difficulties with the MUD she existed on, Kelinda never got to use her spellbane ability.

Kelinda and Psyduck??

I hate to admit it, but yes I think some Pokemon are kind of cute. And what better companion for young Kelinda than a confused psyduck?

Lily's Magic

At the request of a rl friend of mine from the same MUD, I drew one of her characters. I am not sure that my depiction exactly matches what she envisions, but I hope it is somewhat close.

Lily Sunshine

After having drawn the first Lily, a new composition occured to me in the middle of an Economics lecture. I did a quick sketch there, and did the real thing not too much later.

Sarah in Quicksand

The same friend who asked me to draw her MUD character saw my pencil quicksand drawing, and asked me to do one of her in quicksand. I very quickly responded.

Velina Heals

This drawing took place not too long after my first try at color on Kelinda. Also did this in Paint. I did add the lens flare later in another program.

Surrounded by Hostility

I did this drawing a little bit after that horrendous set of three Kelindas. This one thankfully came out a little better than those.

Velina, Battle Ready

After having changed Velina's outfit for the two previous drawings, this was her return to her original self, mostly. This was also the best result I could get in my outmoded flood fill technique. Everything after this was done using layers.

Velina's Nap

I had originally intended to do this drawing as I had done the ones before it, but I could never get it quite right. Finally I learned new techniques, and went back to this drawing to finish it.

Young Kelinda

I actually drew this picture just to be a graphic in another part of the page, but it turned out relatively well, so I added a decided to post it here as well.
